Charles led me upstairs to his room, one of the few places he claimed was safe. He told me about his childhood, mentioning a girl named Julie, the housekeeper's daughter, who had mysteriously disappeared when she was seven. Yet, she had returned recently, looking exactly the same as when she vanished. "Something is terribly wrong in this house," Charles said gravely.
Determined to find a way out, we searched the mansion for a key that could unlock the main door. Along the way, we encountered strange and unsettling things, including a journal written by Charles's father. In it, he described dinners that were disturbingly different – meals with a texture unlike anything he had ever eaten. It hinted at a dark secret involving Julie's disappearance and the strange behavior of Charles's mother.
As dawn approached, the mansion seemed to come alive with its dark forces. Charles and I knew time was running out. We found the key just as the mansion began to shift, its walls groaning as if the house itself was trying to keep us trapped. Together, we made a desperate dash for the exit, determined to escape the horrors hidden within the mansion's walls before it was too late.
