Sorken felt a chill run down his spine as the priest's gaze bore into him. He thought about the premonition he got while in that strange state and something made him very very uneasy. 'What does that mean?' He glanced at the others, their faces pale. Of course, they were as shocked as him. But unlike him, their gaze was fixed on the floating figures with their pupils shrinking with every passing second. 'That is not normal, is the same happening to me?' there was no way to find a definite answer.
Every single thing that has happened to them since they disappeared from this park was something he wouldn't have imagined even in his worst nightmares, and trying to understand a nightmare was as futile as making judgment on what was going to happen to them next. Sorken again looked at the people with him.
There were just three people beside him now. Two men and a woman. He couldn't discern their figures as his eyes were slowly going hazy. He felt the same dizziness that drowned him when he first came to this world.
'Tamara, Tamara..... ' his last thought was stuck on his now glimmering fiance. His body fell to the ground with a 'thud' sound.
The bodies of four people lay there while the other 4 were floating in the air. They were slowly coming back to their senses.
Among them, there was only one woman. Her beauty was more entrancing after she awakened and as she opened her eyes, the eyes were cold and seemed to look down on anything and everything. A strange gold hue covered it making it more unreal yet enticing to look at. it slowly fell on one of the people lying on the floor. There was a slight flicker in those eyes before it went back to being cold and disinterested.
The others around her were the same, their appearance had changed and they looked more like the priests of this world than their former self. None of them moved as they waited for Horu, who was now in a trance to instruct them. The crucified priest was no longer there. His presence was completely erased. The former gloomy atmosphere of this place had also changed for the better, if not the bodies of four people lying on the floor. With the glowing figures and entranced Horu, one can imagine the scene of a king being blessed by the gods.
The room was eerily silent with just the voice of breathing of the four laying on the floor creating an interesting contrast. The four floating didn't even try to move their muscles as their eyes covered with a golden hue stayed focused on Horu.
The figure of Horu, was still in trance as his mouth slowly moved. The air around him formed a strange vortex as it hit the four floating figures. But unlike an attack, it seemed to be a method of conversation as the floating figures repeated what Horu did and a small vortex of air formed around them and hit Horu.
They shared information for some time. As the conversation seemed to come to an end, another figure entered the hall through the gate. He slowly walked towards the center. Wearing the same robes with similar patterns as the others but his face was not covered. White hairs flowed like a waterfall to his shoulders, skin white like milk, and eyes golden like rays of sun, a strange sense of superiority surrounded him. He walked slowly, yet each of his steps seemed to weigh tons unlike his shabby physique as perceivable under the robes. His eyes lingered for a moment on the people on the floor before focusing on the flying figures.
'Valakh' Horu slowly muttered as a sigh escaped his lips.
The new entrant looked at the floating figures. His lips curved into a smile as he watched them. He didn't look at her, as someone not worthy of any recognition from him. He made an air vortex while walking and it soon reached the floating figures, as if in recognition of that message, they quickly looked at Horu who just nodded his head and they started to follow the new figure as he turned his back and started to walk back.
One of the four floating figures made a small air vortex sneakingly as all of them were prepared to follow the walking figure, it hit Horu and he looked at the flying figure with a sigh but soon nodded as if agreeing to whatever request that had been made.
The figures soon left the strange arc-like area and sped up their floating speed. They caught up to the new figure soon.
The five now exiting the room didn't spare a glance at Horu or the others lying at the floor, a new purpose and life waited for them beyond this door. The strings of the past should be severed for it to be fully realized, they understood it.
