Chapter 1 - In Prison

In a world trapped by sin and greed, a boy blossoms, trying to build his own empire and escape it all. It is a night like any other, the stars are shining, and the moon is beautiful, yet the atmosphere is not appreciated, for the scent of blood drifts down the streets.

The young Koman witnesses this murder and runs away. Out of fear, Koman loses himself in thought. His life as a simple citizen in poor circumstances makes him sick.

Desperately, Koman tries to free himself from this hole, fighting hard for his survival. Early on, he realizes that this will lead nowhere, and out of fear, he flees from the slow death that everyone in this city will eventually meet.

The streets of Tarban were shrouded in perpetual darkness, the houses crowded together like prisoners in a cage. Everywhere Koman looked, he saw crumbling walls and people with empty gazes, whose joy in life had long since vanished.

The smell of blood and rotting garbage filled the alleys, and the smoke of burning wood rose in thick plumes. It was as if the city itself sought to extinguish any hope.

The murder he had just witnessed made his heart race. He ran, not knowing where, as his thoughts were swallowed by fear and panic. What if he was next? What if he became just another name on the long list of victims sacrificed by the lords?

His life as a simple citizen in these miserable conditions made him sick. Every day, Koman fought hard for his survival, working from dawn until dusk, just to barely have enough for himself.

Deep in his heart, he knew this would never lead to anything. The lords who ruled Tarban would never allow common people to escape. They kept all the power for themselves, so that they could enjoy a life of prosperity.

Tarban was no place for dreams. The walls surrounding the city rose high, as if they were built to smother hope itself.

No one knew exactly what lay beyond those walls, only that there were heavily guarded gates and that one could enter and leave the city only with the permission of the lords.

Many had tried to escape Tarban, but they had failed. The guards were merciless, and the stories of those who dared always ended the same – with their death.

But Koman had no choice but to free himself from this misery, but he didn't know that there was a worse world outside Tarban.

With the last money he earned over the years of work, he bought furry clothes and shoes, he is ready to escape in the foggy winter that will soon appear, which will make it easier for him not to catch.

In the weeks that followed, Koman began to observe every aspect of the city carefully. Outside of his working hours, he watched as goods were brought into the city, but never left through the same entrance.

This seemed strange to him, and it piqued his curiosity. Perhaps, he thought, this could be his key to freedom. Perhaps he could smuggle himself out of the city as part of these shipments.

The sun began to set as Koman went over his plan once more. Soon it would be time to act. The walls that had enclosed him so far would not remain impenetrable forever.

He would leave the city that held him like a cage, and he would build his own empire, where he would never again be a slave to the greed and power of others.
