The tension in the room was palpable as James paced the dimly lit study, his hands clutching the edges of a worn folder. The document inside felt heavier than its weight in paper and ink—a damning piece of evidence that implicated his father in Victor's years-long vendetta against my family. The truth stared at him from the page, forcing him to reevaluate everything he thought he knew. 

 

His mind swirled with questions. Why had his father done this? Had he been coerced, or had he willingly become a pawn in Victor's grandiose plans for domination? The answers didn't matter as much as the sickening realization that his family's name was irreparably tied to the web of deceit. 

 

James stopped pacing and threw the folder onto the desk with a frustrated groan. He needed answers, but more than that, he needed to act. The truth could no longer stay hidden.
