The thought sent a shiver down my spine. "You're suggesting we bring your family into this? They might not understand what's at stake. They're not privy to the games we're playing."
"They don't need to know everything," Michael replied, stepping closer, the intensity of his gaze locking onto mine. "But they can help us gather intel, find leverage. We'll make sure Vanessa feels the heat for once."
A knot of anxiety formed in my stomach. "And what if they do get involved and things go south? They could become targets, just like us."
"Then we make sure they're protected," he said firmly. "But we need to take the fight to her, Isabella. The longer we wait, the more she gains the upper hand."
