The next morning, Isabella woke to find me already at work, my sleeves rolled up and my laptop glowing faintly in the early light. She walked over, her steps quiet but purposeful, and placed a gentle hand on my shoulder.
"You didn't sleep," she said softly.
"I couldn't," i admitted, looking up at her with tired eyes. "There's too much at stake."
Isabella slid into the chair beside me, scanning the screen. "Did Liam get back to you?"
I nodded. "He's looking into the files now. If there's anything off about them, he'll find it."
"Good," Isabella said, though her tone was hesitant. "I just hope we're not putting too much faith in Vanessa."
"I'm not," i assured her. "But if this information checks out, it's too valuable to ignore. We'll use it, but we'll stay cautious."
