Chapter 10 - growl

"We've arrived sir, try to move quickly. We don't have much time before the zombies and monsters realize our existence." Khyle said while patting the cushioned chair he was sitting on.

Rover could only nod in understanding and began to bring 8 out of 13 people into the convenience store.

The condition of the place was horrible, there was a lot of blood and incomplete bodies scattered everywhere. Some of the bodies had bite wounds that were so horrific that one might get scared and vomit if it was seen by people.

But that didn't apply to Rover's group. Although there was still an inexplicable feeling when looking at the decomposing body parts, overall they didn't feel anything anymore.

Whether they had gotten used to it or their feelings had dulled, no one knew.

Then he turned to stare at the surroundings, he could sense dozens of creatures wandering around. And he could even see the status of the creatures automatically thanks to the gray bracelet wrapped around his right arm.

Previously, before he arrived here. Rover had tried various ways to use his new abilities, to no avail. But he kept trying, until finally he managed to use his ability in a fairly complex way.

First he had to channel his mana energy towards the bracelet, and immediately afterwards he also started channeling his mana towards his eyes. After that he had to direct the two streams of 'mana' by creating new branches on each stream.

And in the final process he had to bring the two branches together and connect them into a single entity. And that's when his ability immediately activated and could be used.

Even though his ability was already usable and tried it on several occasions, he still didn't know some things about it. such as how far it could reach and analyze the opponent, whether there was a more effective method to activate the ability, and so on.

Thinking about it made him even more frustrated as time ticked by every second.

Not wanting to waste the time available, he quickly ignored it and returned to his mission this time.

He began to analyze all the statuses on the zombies and compared them to his allies.

{Status}

[Name: Elver wadson ]

[ Age: 26 ] [ Sex: Male ]

[ Race: Human Infected (zombie) ] [ Level: 11 ]

[ Fatigue: None ]

[ Mana Point: 108/108 ]

(Attribute)

[ Strength: 17 sense: 14 ]

Vitality: 10 stamina: 20

[ Agility: 8 Magic: 8 ]

Wait a minute, what's with the mana status he has. Isn't that too much. And also why does it say stamina on the status. Don't zombies have no stamina?' Rover could only stare dumbfounded at the status on the screen floating in front of him.

Feeling incredulous, he went back to analyzing the zombies around him. And sure enough, those zombies had a slightly high 'mana' compared to his own.

Seeing this, Rover immediately thought back about the plan he was going to take.

'Looking at the status of their 'mana'. If they can think like normal humans and cooperate, then we will lose badly. However, it doesn't seem like that will happen because their nature is similar to the zombies in the movie, those who can't think'

With that in mind, Rover became optimistic again and ordered his group to clear the place as quickly as possible in order to smoothly execute his plan.

Immediately, they used their high strength and speed to quickly kill and eliminate them in an instant.

Within 1 minute, he and his group had cleared the store of dozens of zombies.

"Alright, guys we need to be quick. I know you're still a little tired now, but we don't have time to rest. We have to gather as much food as we can so that we can survive the upcoming winter." Rover said firmly.

Those who heard that immediately nodded in understanding and began to carry out their mission by picking up boxes of food and drinks in the warehouse.

And fortunately, thanks to their increased status, they were able to lift more food and drinks in their hands.

On the other hand, Rover also helped carry the goods although less than them because he was also in charge of protecting the transporters from the approaching zombies.

Once everyone is ready, they quickly return to the vehicle to store the supplies there.

They kept doing this over and over again until they didn't realize how quickly time had passed.

The orange-colored sun soon set, indicating that night would soon fall.

Rover and the others had finished lifting the supplies and transporting them into the vehicle.

Seeing that the goods they had taken were enough for a long-term supply, he immediately became happy and immediately told khyle to leave the place immediately.

In no time, they left the place before it got dark.

The lights on the side of the road lit up brightly as soon as it was dark.

The road, which used to be quiet at nightfall, was now a little crowded due to the zombies wandering aimlessly on the road.

It was not uncommon to hear growls from the zombies as they passed by.

But Rover and his group just ignored it and continued their journey.

As Rover was resting his body and shutting down from the tiring work, he slowly felt something strange about the bus. He didn't feel any vibration or movement in the vehicle.

Feeling that there was something odd about it, he began to reopen his eyelids and looked at those stopped on the road.

Feeling that he had not gotten the answer he wanted, Rover began to stare towards the front window to see what was happening.

"M-impossible" That was the only word that could come out of the man's lips. He couldn't help but break out in a cold sweat at the sight of the unimaginable.

Because what he saw was something that they could not think of.

Something that was impossible for them to defeat even if faced in their prime.

"H-hey Rover, can we beat that many zombies?"

"..... " Rover could only stand still as he listened to the question.

Yep, what they saw now was a sea full of zombies that were now some distance away from them. Not just ordinary zombies, he could also see zombies that had a slightly different appearance from the others.

He could confirm that the zombies there numbered more than a thousand.

Seeing that Rover was now frustrated now. Now they were in a very unfavorable position to deal with let alone survive the attacks of the zombies.

It can be seen from those who are mostly seen lying limp on the bench of the bus vehicle due to fatigue from lifting goods endlessly. Even people who do not take part in lifting supplies look exhausted due to having to protect the Porters from the zombies who sometimes continue to arrive in large numbers towards them.

Moreover, the flamethrower they used before was no longer usable so they had to switch to another plan.

While in this complicated situation, Khyle who had been driving suddenly spoke to him.

"Hey mister, looks like we only have one plan for this situation. It's up to you, whether you accept it or not. " As if understanding what Rover was thinking, Khyle tried to help by giving an idea of his plan.

He could only raise one eyebrow, intrigued by her idea.

"Alright, we can talk about it if it's as good as I hoped"

As if getting approval, Hykel immediately smiled and began to express his idea.

"You know boss, this isn't a very good idea. But this is the only really effective plan to divert the zombies away from -"

"Alright, well enough of the pleasantries. So come on now tell me what your idea is. You see they are starting to realize our presence"

Hearing Rover's words, Khyle could only sigh and began to tell his idea.

At first, Rover just nodded his head at the idea given. But the longer he listened to Khyle's idea, the more he lowered his head down again and again.

Moreover, khyle also became nervous as Rover's expression became unpredictable, and was afraid of what would happen next.

"H-how sir, I-it's not too bad is it?"

"..."

"Sir?"

"Haaa, sometimes I think it's better to be a dinasourus than a human"

"..... "
