After explaining the plan, Felix sat down in a chair, his eyes glued to the hotel's CCTV feed on his laptop, scanning for a backup strategy. After a moment, he stood, hands in his pockets, and said:
"There's a high chance the guards on the fifth and third floors will regroup once the bomb goes off on the second floor. When that happens, Klein and Lucia, you'll head to the third floor and enter the bathroom in Room 32. Plant a bomb between the third and fourth floors—right where Saul, uh... relieved himself. The explosion will create enough chaos for you two to grab Saul while he's still trapped in the bathroom. Meanwhile, James and Ember will clear the path to my car, ensuring we have a clean getaway."
The plan was straightforward, but in its simplicity, it was also a trap—a clever one Saul wouldn't see coming.
By 10:45 p.m., the team was ready to call it a night. Lucia and Ember shared one bed, while James and Klein took the other. The room settled into silence until Klein suddenly spoke up.
"Hey, Felix, where are you going to sleep?"
Felix smiled, leaning against the doorway. "Ah, don't worry about me. I have this... strange habit. I've never mentioned it, have I?" He chuckled lightly. "Some nights, I end up sleeping in my deck chair. It started when I stayed up too late studying criminal cases and just knocked out there instead of making it to my bed. It's a habit now, I guess. But don't get me wrong—I can sleep in a bed. But most of the time I slept on beds."
His tone was casual, but the others exchanged glances, each wondering how anyone could find comfort in something so odd.
After some small talk, everyone eventually drifted off to sleep.
It was 10; 00 am, and Klein was the first to wake, followed by Lucia, then Felix, James, and finally Ember.
At 10:00 a.m., Felix sat in his car, monitoring Saul's hotel through his laptop. Meanwhile, the rest of the team was stationed on the street right in front of the Leonardo Vinci Hotel, blending in with casual attire. They all wore hoodies, lounge pants, and sneakers in varying colors, staying inconspicuous.
Klein and Lucia were dressed in matching blue hoodies with dark blue lounge pants, while James and Ember wore identical outfits to create the illusion of being siblings—a detail carefully orchestrated by Felix to throw off the bodyguards.
Felix then shut down the entire CCTV system, plunging the surveillance feeds into darkness. Meanwhile, the others moved quickly, ambushing the unsuspecting bodyguards and swapping outfits with them.
Underneath their hoodies, they wore white, long-sleeved T-shirts—made from cutting-edge bulletproof fabric. With the guards' clothes now on, they layered the stolen outfits over their T-shirts, ensuring they were both disguised and protected.
They quickly tossed grenades into empty areas on the second floor, creating the perfect diversion. At that moment, Felix noticed Saul on the rooftop, surrounded by his friends—all of them visibly drunk. Acting fast, Felix ordered the team to access the rooftop through the fifth-floor window, explaining that the doors were locked.
While the team moved into position, Felix went to the side of the hotel, retrieved a box from his car, and opened it. Inside was a compact trampoline, which began expanding as he unfolded it. Once fully inflated, Felix set it up along the side of the building.
Meanwhile, Klein reached the rooftop, hoisted Saul over his shoulder, and called Felix.
"Felix, what do I do now?" Klein asked.
"Look over the side. Do you see the trampoline? If you do, jump with Saul," Felix instructed calmly.
Klein glanced down and spotted the trampoline just below. Moments later, with no other option, he leaped off the rooftop with Saul in tow. One after another, the rest of the team followed suit, jumping down onto the trampoline.
With the drunken Saul in hand, they piled into Felix's BMW and sped off. Their mission was complete—they had successfully captured the elusive target. Upon arrival at the S.C.C. office, they handed Saul over and locked him behind bars, marking the end of their clever operation.
