Vivian sat in that position for quite sometime, recalling the events of her past life. Specially the ones that had happened just before she committed suicide.
Am I given a second chance to redeem myself? She asked to herself. Because all she wanted to do was to redeem herself at the final moments of her life. To rub all the sins that she had committed in her life. And maybe, she got the chance now?
Vivian looked at her twelve year old self, which she currently was. A really pretty, young girl. The pampered princess of the Johnson's family. Until, this phrase in her life, everything was good. Everything was fine. She was how a good girl would be. Obidient, good in studies, kind in heart, with no ill feeling for anyone. But Vivian now knew, that soon everything was going to change.
Soon, everyone would find out that she wasn't the real daughter of the family.
And it all would happen very soon. So a couple of days Vivian had fallen very sick, so while they were getting her treatment done, it was required to run a few blood tests. At the time of running the blood test, it came out that her blood group wasn't the same as what they had found out when she was born. It was different. And the surprising thing was that, her blood group was such that, it was not very likely possible to be what it is, if matched with her parent's blood group. Though, it was not entirely impossible, but still the chances were really low.
Also, another striking difference she had was her eye colour. It was dark green in colour. And no one in her family ever had it. At first, when she was young, everyone initially thought that perhaps it was a recessive gene, and did not give much thought about it. But the truth eventually came out.
Vivian's 'father', Jacob Johnson was smart business man. And though he loves his family and her a lot, and had spoiled her since young, when her found our about the mismatch in blood group, he started feeling that something was wrong. So, he silently took a big step, and decided to do a DNA test. And what came out as a shock was that she was not their real daughter.
But Jacob had still not broken out the news to the family. He carried out the investigation in secret to find who and where his real daughter was. And soon enough, he found her as well.
And without any surprise, they wanted to bring her back home. And they did.
The day the Johnson's announced about the swipe of the daughters, the then Vivian was broken in pieces. The young girl at that time had felt as if the world had shattered, and everything was a lie. And then the day, they brought their real daughter, Vivian's nightmare started. She felt as if the whole world had betrayed her.
The Johnson's had not ushered her out of the house, as she, her real self, didn't really have a house of her self. The girl who came, the real daughter of the Johnson's family, Riana, she was raised in an orphanage, as she was supposedly an 'orphan'. And if Riana had come here, then it only meant that she had to be sent where she belonged.
But Vivian had then cried and begged a lot to not be sent to that orphanage as she would not be able to survive their. And no matter what, the Johnson's had also raised her for fifteen years. And they too couldn't find their heart, and morals to send her to an orphanage. After all, they were rich enough to raise two girls.
And from then on, her bad time started. No that anyone inflicted it upon her. But what she brought it upon her ownself.
At first, she was just sad that she wasn't their real daughter. But with time, and the more days, that Riana started living there, Vivian's heart started to feel with hatred and hurt, when she realised that how differently were the two of them treated. Riana, being their real daughter, who was away from them for whole twelve years was of course started being treated differently. And she was, in a way or so that she felt, was started to be treated differently. Something like neglected.
That that was like a prick in Vivian's heart. And from then on, hatred, jealousy, and ill feeling started filling her heart.
