Chapter 61: A Missing Friend
As Kael, Yun-ho, and the others made their way back to the academy, Kael couldn't help but think about Anya. She had sent the message for him to come to the Eastern Wastes, but she wasn't here.
"Where's Anya?" Kael asked, his voice filled with concern.
Yun-ho shook his head. "I don't know," he replied. "She was supposed to meet us here."
Nova looked worried. "Maybe something happened to her."
Kael felt a pang of fear. He couldn't bear the thought of anything happening to Anya.
"We have to find her," he said.
Yun-ho and the others agreed. They turned around and headed back into the Eastern Wastes.
As they searched for Anya, they encountered more and more evidence of the darkness spreading through the land. The creatures were becoming more aggressive, and the trees were dying.
Finally, they found Anya. She was lying on the ground, unconscious.
Kael rushed to her side. "Anya!" he cried.
Anya's eyes fluttered open. "Kael," she whispered.
"Are you okay?" Kael asked.
Anya nodded. "I'm fine," she said. "I just got caught in a fight with one of those corrupted creatures."
Kael was relieved to see that Anya was alright. He helped her up and led her back to the academy.
As they walked, Kael couldn't help but wonder what was happening to Eternity Online. The darkness was spreading, and it seemed like there was no stopping it.
He knew that he had to do something. He had to find a way to defeat the darkness and save this world.
And he was determined to do whatever it took.
