Chapter 41 - Chapter 41: Warrior's Ring

Chapter 41: Warrior's Ring, Rare!

In the weapon selection from the ranking rewards, Cheng Jianyong chose a finely crafted stone-breaking greatsword, while Shen Yun picked a crystal hammer. Both weapons had decent attributes but required them to reach level 6 to equip.

Next came the silver treasure chests.

The rewards from the silver chests far exceeded those from the bronze ones, and at this stage, they were extremely hard to obtain. Silver chests were generally guarded by powerful monsters. Only those with exceptional luck might find an unguarded silver chest on an unexplored floating island.

Silver chests could yield large amounts of high-grade materials such as mithril, spirit cores, and blood of the strong. They were also guaranteed to drop a blue-tier equipment item, with a small chance of containing potion formulas or blue-tier equipment blueprints.

Excitedly, the two clicked to open their chests.

A moment later, Cheng Jianyong exclaimed, "Holy crap! A blueprint for a warrior's ring! Blue-tier!"

"Hmm?"

Han Xing was surprised. "A blue-tier ring? You got lucky!"

Cheng Jianyong laughed excitedly. "Hahaha, I knew I was lucky!"

But then he sighed. "Too bad it's a level 6 blueprint."

Han Xing replied, "Level 6? That's not bad. We'll be able to equip it in a level or two, and a level 6 blue-tier item will have much better attributes than anything below level 5."

At this point, Shen Yun grumbled, "Damn, I got a pair of level 6 blue-tier light armor leggings. But I need heavy armor for my class. Guess I'll have to hand them over to this lucky guy Cheng Jianyong again."

"Light armor? Hand it over, Xiao Yunzi!" Cheng Jianyong yelled excitedly.

Reluctantly, Shen Yun initiated the trade. After a moment, he said, "Brother Xing, there's also a 'Class Advancement Scroll' in here. What class should we choose for advancement? Any advice?"

Before making decisions, they instinctively sought Han Xing's opinion. For some reason, they felt Han Xing had a better grasp of the world's mechanics.

Han Xing thought for a moment and replied, "According to the game's introduction, the class advancements for holy professions are Priest and Knight. The former focuses on healing and support, but its combat abilities are weak."

"The latter leans towards defense and close combat. Compared to a Priest, a Knight has better survival skills. Both classes have their pros and cons."

Shen Yun replied without hesitation, "Alright, I'll go with Priest then."

Han Xing was a bit surprised. "Are you sure? Priests don't have strong combat abilities. According to the system, Priests are very reliant on teammates early on and won't get a few offensive skills until the third class change to Bishop."

Shen Yun firmly replied, "I'm sure. I'll choose Priest."

"Anyway, we've got Cheng Jianyong for melee combat and you, Brother Xing, for ranged attacks. I'll just play support on the sidelines."

Han Xing thought for a moment and decided not to persuade him further. He knew Shen Yun had made this decision after considering their future development.

At this moment, Cheng Jianyong asked, "Brother Xing, what should I pick? Swordsman or Berserker?"

Han Xing responded speechlessly, "Why bother choosing between two muscle-brained classes? They're pretty much the same."

"Damn, how can you disrespect muscle-brained classes like that?! When will we muscle classes ever rise to power?!" Cheng Jianyong said dramatically before sending Han Xing a trade request.

Han Xing accepted the trade.

Cheng Jianyong had traded him the blueprint for the blue-tier warrior's ring.

[You have received the blueprint for Warrior's Ring (Blue) lv6. Would you like to learn it?]

Han Xing clicked to learn the blueprint.

Finally, his blueprint inventory displayed its first blue-tier equipment blueprint.

He checked the crafting requirements.

[Materials required to craft the Warrior's Ring: Mithril 10, Spirit Core 50, Rare Earth 100, Strength Crystal 10.]

[Crafting success rate: 15% (due to the 'God-tier Craftsman' talent, success rate has reached 100%).]

"We need that much mithril?"

Han Xing walked over to a few storage chests and checked his material reserves. He had enough of the other three materials, but his supply of mithril, a high-end material, was down to just 7 pieces.

It wasn't enough to craft even one ring.

So, he asked in the discussion group, "How much mithril did you get from your silver chests? Trade it to me; I need more to craft the warrior's ring."

"I've got 13 pieces."

"I've got 16 pieces here."

Both immediately initiated trades with Han Xing.

In total, Han Xing acquired 29 pieces of mithril, which, combined with his own stash, was just enough to craft three warrior's rings.

This was all thanks to his 'God-tier Craftsman' talent, which granted a 100% success rate. For other survivors, the 15% success rate would likely leave them questioning their life choices, as failures wouldn't return the consumed materials.

The losses could be too much for most to bear.

Without such concerns, Han Xing clicked to begin crafting. A dazzling blue light appeared.

A 60-second progress bar appeared before him.

When the bar reached its end, a silver-white ring fell to the ground.

Han Xing checked its attributes.

[Warrior's Ring (Blue), Quality: Rare, Strength +12, Special Effect: Warrior's Soul.]

[Warrior's Soul: While in combat, gain an additional +6 Strength.]

[Equipment Requirement: lv6.]

"All Strength? This ring's attributes are really straightforward," Han Xing couldn't help but comment.

"But the amount of Strength it gives is pretty insane!"

A single piece of equipment that added 12 points of Strength, plus the special effect, meant a total Strength boost of 18 points.

Even a Hunter would see an increase of 36 attack points by equipping it, which was comparable to the boost from a primary weapon!

For someone like Cheng Jianyong, who was a strength-based class, the boost from the Warrior's Ring would be even more ridiculous.

"This is pretty powerful!"

Han Xing marveled, then proceeded to craft two more rings.

The second one was also of rare quality, with similar attributes.

However, when he crafted the third ring, Han Xing noticed something different.

This time, the burst of blue light was several times brighter than before.

Excited, Han Xing muttered, "Could it be…?"

The next moment, he saw the ring's attributes.

[Warrior's Ring (Blue), Quality: Exquisite, Strength +18, Special Effect: Warrior's Soul.]

"Damn, Exquisite!"

Han Xing was stunned. This was the first time he had crafted equipment with the Exquisite quality.

In the Floating Island Paradise, equipment quality was divided into eight tiers: Rough, Common, Fine, Rare, Exquisite, Legendary, Epic, and Mythical.

Green-tier equipment usually capped out at Common quality, with the occasional Fine-tier item. Rare-tier equipment was the upper limit for green-tier.

For blue-tier equipment, Fine and Rare were the most common, and Exquisite was the highest tier.

For most survivors, crafting a Rare-tier blue item would be considered a great success.

But Han Xing, thanks to his 'God-tier Craftsman' talent, easily crafted an Exquisite-tier item!

Compared to Rare-tier, the attributes were significantly enhanced!

This single Exquisite ring boosted Han Xing's attack power by nearly 15%!
