"What did you try to do? If you claim to be "omnipotent," but why would you still fail to the Outer Deities?
The Umbridge retracted "their" gaze from me, looking up at the slowly ebbing crimson moon. "When I absorbed the Nightshades' power over the Luma Routeway, I needed to garner authority over it. People who pass through here will be claimed by death, and their power must be stripped from them."
"But there is a deity in the cosmos who has true authority over the Luma Routeway, and unbeknownst to me, "she" attacked me and tried to kill me to reclaim it. When the Omnipotent and Omniscient Creator fused with creation when "he" fell into slumber, "his" authorities and symbolism diffused into creation."
"Most of "his" symbolism collected into the Western Lands, and expanded, gathered into Divine Kingdoms; or Sefirots. In the time before existence was existence, or the Era of Chaos, this deity had possession over the Luma, Demon and Destruction authorities. "She" also had a sefirot: The Nest of Vulgarity, which is sealed in the Western Lands in an unknown location."
"So De-Taylel has partial authority over a portion of the Omnipotent and Omniscient? Then who owned the Underworld before "him?" I thought to myself.
"What do you do with the authorities you collect when people or things die and come here? Why don't more people come here, don't people die everyday?"
The Umbridge sighed as "they" left the crimson moon hanging in the throne room, their" figure began to slowly disappear.
"Unfortunately I can't answer all of your questions, you're too weak, you'd lose yourself..."
I was left alone in the thorne room again, the crimson moon suddenly disappeared, leaving me even more empty in my state. Why did that entity target me? Was it the deity that The Umbridge was referring to? "Her" long hair looked reminiscent of a womans, so it would be safe to say that "she" was also targeting The Umbridge once again to completely steal "their" authority.
...
I descended from the void state and landed back in my apartment room, only to see that the sun had disappeared behind the Cardigon Mountains, allowing the night to claim the kingdom again. The door behind me suddenly opened, and Shinsio, wearing his casual clothing, entered with bags of food.
He wiped his brow before shooting me a glance. I acted like I wasn't just in an alternate dimension, so I sat on the armchair and sipped my sour tea.
"I assume you've had a good day? I got to truly interact with Damien for the first time, he's a bit of a whiny bastard, but he's alright." Shinso said with a dry chuckle.
I chuckled too as I stood up and approached the balcony, still holding my tea which had a small amount of steam still leaving the cup. Shinso stood next to me and watched a group of street boys play with a ball in front of our apartment, laughing heartily.
"Damien...I see a lot of him in me." I suddenly said softly as I sipped my drink. Shinso turned towards me in curiosity. "Explain..."
"When I first met him he was scared of me, I'd actually say horrified. I was a tiny bit scared of him too, but I was more concerned for him. He appeared innocent but already knew the burdens of the world, he wore that inscrutable smile like a schoolboy. He knew what death was, but he didn't let it bother him. He's what I'd define as the bird..."
"The bird?" Shinso asked.
"Yeah. Remember that philosophy book you gave me about a month ago before we got here? It got me thinking about how and why humans do things. I'd like to imagine fate, burdens, or negative emotions as a whole as a field, and you're a bird...with an injured wing. Even with half of you wanting to give in, the other half keeps going, it doesn't want to submit to the ideals of destruction or self depreciation."
"It can still fly, fly above the clouds and sing a song. Damien seemed to already know how to do so...but me on the other hand, I'm just a lost, confused boy who's destined to destroy the world. I understand that Damien was scared when I accidentally murdered his mother, but his ability to move past such a traumatizing thing is quite admirable. But me on the other hand...I struggle to do so."
"Someone once said if you're observant enough you see the same eyes in different people. In his white eyes I see a free person, but also a very broken person. When I look at myself in the mirror I have my own conflicting emotions. My love for you even with religious conflict, my sadness, confusion, joy, sorrow, anger...it's a whirlwind."
Shinso's expression suddenly softened.
"I'd say I can relate. My entire life I've been villainized for my quirk, and people said I'd only be suited as a villain. The only difference between us is you're forced to become the villain while I was forced to look like one."
The cold wind bowed harder as I gazed up into the sky, watching the moon shine behind the thin layer of clouds.
"Aren't abilities like these "god given"? Aren't I destined to destroy the world because some entity willed it?" I suddenly asked, a small smile forming on my face, a pained smile.
"If that's true...If I was made by a god and destined to destroy...I'll oppose him just this once, and show him I won't submit."
I suddenly kissed Shinso on the lips. Shinso's eyes widened even if he was used to a thing like this, and he closed his eyes as he returned the kiss, his lips pressing against mine.
Shinso looked at me with a breathless smile, his epitope eyes flickering dimly in the moonlight. I looked down at the street below, only to see the group of boys gazing back up at us while chuckling.
"Did they see us?" I whispered.
Shinso shrugged.
One of the boys, one with a mop of black hair picked up the ball and rolled it towards us.
"Wanna join us? We don't mine the company."
Me and Shinso fell silent and exchanged glances, small smiles forming on our faces.
By the time we went back to our apartment room it was about one in the morning. All of our limbs ached and we felt like we could collapse at any moment.
We didn't say a word as we collapsed onto our beds and fell asleep.
...
"We need help with divination." Aizawa said as he walked into our apartment room with a young woman standing beside him.
The woman had blonde hair and blueish-green eyes that seemed to embody the ocean. She wore a casual white shirt and a dress that went down to her ankles.
"This is my friend, Olive." Aizawa introduced the lady, and she smiled and nodded.
"Help with divination? Why did you just come to me? Couldn't you have just gone to one instead of waking me up? I asked, leaning up in bed while rubbing my eyes.
"That would be the logical solution if this wasn't a concealed operation. You see, my friend here had encountered a gang she believes to be a demon gang who has connections to an entity."
"If you could divine an individual's particular whereabouts at this moment it would be of ample help." Aizawa continued.
"I don't know about that. I don't know anything about the Demon Routeway or its abilities. Who knows what tricks the person could pull out from under their sleeve if we try to learn about them." I answered with some uncertainty in my voice.
Aizawa suddenly sighed as he laid a hand on my shoulder.
"Sometimes you have to do things where getting hurt may be a possibility. It may not exactly be logical to a certain extent, but sometimes when urgency matters...you have to abandon it."
I took in this information and began contemplating. I was used to taking risks before, and usually I had the thought and brainpower to save myself from danger; even through unconventional methods.
I nodded. "Ok."
