Trying to erase the events of an hour ago, Austin Keano sat in his office massaging his temples. No matter how many times he tried, somehow the incident always replayed in his mind. However, what seemed to gnaw at his mind even more was Kenan's look of trepidation upon seeing the Mercedes Benz. Austin was absolutely certain that look didn't come from shock when they were almost hit.
Now, Austin couldn't relax. He had to find out who owned the Mercedes Benz. Who was driving it and what was the motive for almost hitting them, if it was possible to fail to hit.
Playing through his memory once more, the man caught a glimpse of the car's license plate. It was hard enough for Austin not to get the numbers and letters wrong. He closed his eyes, while his fingers scratched some numbers and letters on the paper. Once he was done, Austin contacted his new assistant-Julian-to track down the license plate.
"Whoever you are, if you try to disturb me, you won't be able to live in peace," Austin said, looking at the license plate written on the piece of paper.
In the middle of his musing, the door to the room opened. Austin turned to the person he thought was Kenan, but it was not.
Helena, the woman stood in the doorway before finally deciding to step closer. Austin quickly stood up to approach her. Red nail-painted fingers moved to tuck a few strands of her black mane behind her ear.
"Helena, why aren't you home? You know I'm worried about you?" Austin said honestly.
The man was indeed worried about his wife for not coming home, especially when he knew Helena had caught him and Kenan making love in their bed.
Those nude lipstick—polished lips smiled slightly at Austin's words. Her husband saw the smile and was slightly relieved.
"I have something important to tell you," said Helena, who was as beautiful as ever. She took the time to dress up first for the man in front of her.
"Alright, how about tonight? We'll have dinner together to talk about that important matter," Austin asked, trying to cover up his guilt to his wife.
"No, Austin, i have to say it now!"
It was unusual for Helena to turn down her husband's invitation for dinner.
"Okay." Austin let out a long breath. He took Helena's hand to talk to her one-on-one on the sofa to the left of the room reserved for guests.
As soon as his feet took the first step, Helena blurted out, "Stay away from your foster brother, stay away from Kenan!"
The atmosphere was immediately tense after Helena said that. Austin was frozen in place, for a moment, he turned to look at his wife. She continued, "He doesn't love you. He's just using you. There's something he's planning. Now, at this very moment, he has put that plan into action."
"How can you come to such a conclusion? What do you know about him?" asked Austin sighing harshly before speaking.
"I don't know what his intentions are, but it will definitely be bad for you in the future."
Austin did not respond to Helena's words. He had been unsettled by the events of this morning—now the burden of his mind was increased by the shocking statement that made no sense, according to Austin. His mind simply would not accept his wife's warning. His heart had taken control of his mind. Love made Austin no longer think logically.
Austin released his grip on Helena's wrist, letting out a rough breath. His jaw hardened along with his clenched fingers. Austin was still trying to contain his anger that was about to spill out.
Helena's eyes blinked and her lips pressed together. Perhaps realizing what Austin was feeling. Her husband was angry.
"If you're mad at me for that, I apologize. but please, don't incite me and my brother!" pleaded Austin, his voice chilling. It seemed to freeze the eardrums of Helena who heard it.
"Your brother? Or your mistress?" She corrected. Helena's voice sounded shaky, though she still maintained a stoic expression.
"Helena! I ..."
A slap landed hard on Austin's left cheek, numbing him. And before he could react, Helena had already left him.
Austin wanted to chase after his wife, but his steps felt so heavy. Finally he planned to have a more serious talk with Helena later that night.

"Pick up ..."
Kenan Pradipta paced in front of the desk with a cell phone to his ear. Impatiently waiting for the person on the other side to pick up so he could talk.
This was Kenan's second attempt at contacting the person, and the person on the other end of the line didn't pick up. And only then—after the fourth "tuutt" sound did the person pick up the phone.
"I told you, before the deadline, don't bother me!" Kenan growled without waiting for the person to say hello first.
There was a sarcastic laugh from the other side. Markus was so happy that Kenan still remembered him and all his debts.
"My dear Kenny, I'm really glad you still remember that, ahahaha!"
Kenan clucked angrily. "Don't call me that disgusting name, asshole!"
There was a light exhale from the other side. "Tck, your mouth is still sharp, not as sweet as your face."
At this moment, Kenan's face hardened at those words. He squeezed the cell phone tightly as if he wanted to crush it.
Markus' voice turned flat instantly. "In one week, the agreement expires. You know what? I hope you don't play with him too much."
The connection was disconnected unilaterally by Kenan. After the call was disconnected, he rubbed his face roughly. The rumbling in his chest again felt like it was tearing out his eardrums. Kenan was frustrated, but he couldn't give up. He couldn't.
Sitting back in the chair, he stared out the window. Thinking, Kenan forced his brain to work again. He stared giddily at the buildings out there for a long time, until finally a plan popped into his head. Kenan didn't have much time left, he would do the second plan. Because he had no choice anymore.
He picked up the cell phone that had been idle on the table. Then he pressed speed dial number one on his smartphone. Not waiting long, the line was connected. Kenan's lips developed a sweet smile for the person he was calling this time.

It was not Helena Surendra's wish that after she left her husband's room, she met her husband's affair. Her heart had been struck twice. As soon as their gazes met, Helena found a faint smile etched on Kenan's face
To be honest, if Kenan was a woman like her—surely Helena wouldn't be holding herself back like this. She would have grabbed and clawed at Kenan, giving him an earful for making Austin—her husband betray her. However, that was just wishful thinking.
So, that's how much they disagreed Helena simply said, "I hope you get back to Markus soon."
Kenan's steps stopped, of course. After their steps turned back to back-Kenan turned away with a much different expression than before. The faint smile that had been on his lips was now gone like smoke.
Helena stopped as well, giving Kenan one warning smile-before disappearing around the corner of the corridor. With that, Helena had initiated a coup.
