Isamu walked out of the jujutsu high main building, following Maki out. He had a scarf wrapped around his neck and mouth in a similar way to Toga's fashion sense. It had gotten rather chilly recently, as Japan entered its colder seasons, hence the scarf.
Behind Ismau followed Toga, Panda, and last but not least, Yuta. Maki and Yuta carried both of their respective weapons in a bag slung over their shoulders while Ismau carried his sword on his waist like always. Yuta looked over his shoulder, his head spinning, seemingly searching for something.
"What's up, Yuta?" Panda asked having noticed Yuta's odd behavior.
"Um… I've got a bad feeling." Yuta said concerned, still looking behind him for any sign of the uneasy resting in his gut.
"It's just your imagination." Maki said. The rest followed up with similar expressions of dismissal. Isamu, too, did not hold much value in Yuta's sense. Not only were his senses below average considering he was still a rookie, but Rika also threw off his senses.
Maki and Panda soon expressed his thoughts to Yuta, as if reading his mind. Isamu's and the rests casual dismissal was soon proven wrong however.
A large, pelican looking cursed spirit flew through the air, landing softlya few meters from the group. A cursed spirit making it through jujutsu highs barriers was already surprising enough, the human riding its back was even more so. The man, dressed like a monk, hopped off the curse.
"Wouldn't you know it." Maki muttered as she turned towards the man.
"Yuta was right." Panda said, surprised.
"It's an intruder right?" Maki questioned as she unzipped her bag and brought out her deadly spear. Ismau readied himself for battle as well, gripping his katana, prepared to unsheathe it at a moments notice.
"I've never seen a curse like that." Panda commented as he slipped on his blue knuckle dusters.
"Salted fish roe." Toga agreed with some caution while pulling down his scarf.
"Wow, that's a big bird." Yuta observed, showing no signs of battle preparation.
"Still the same as ever." The monk said, shading his eyes from the sun with a hand as he scanned the area with both familiar and distasteful eyes.
The mouth of the giant pelican opened, revealing three people resting inside. They all walked out, looking around in a way a tourist might. The first person was a bare chested man with two heart shaped stickers on each of his nipples. His blond hair was swept back and held down by a band on some kind. He gave Ismau the creeps to say the least.
"Whoa, master Geto, is this really Tokyo? So country!" A one of the other invaders said. She looked like a young girl, maybe 14 or 15, wearing a school uniform Isamu didn't recognize. She was followed by a girl of similar age with darker hair than the first girls blond. She also wore a school uniform, I different one than the first girls but I was still unrecognizable to Isamu.
"Nanako, that's rude." The second girl said to the first.
"What?! You think so too right?" Nanako responded, a bit peeved. "Who are they? Wow! It's a Panda! So cuuuute!" She said, finally noticing Isamu's group.
"Who are you!" Panda yelled towards the group of attackers. "Mr. Yuta won't forgive intruders." He added threatening.
"Kelp!" Toga yelled as if to emphasize Pandas point.
"What!" Yuta yelled, confused.
"Get out before Isamu kicks ya out!" Maki yelled. She had more faith in Isamu than Yuta so he was her target of exaggeration.
Isamu didn't do much and couldn't say anything, he was busy sizing up the monk. He didn't think the girls were very powerful, maybe the level of grade 3 sorcerers. The bare chest man seemed strong though, maybe even a grade 1.
Even with his eyes locked on the supposed leader of the group, Isamu could barely track him once he moved. Before anyone knew it, the monk, Geto as the girl called him, stood in front of Yuta, grasping his hand.
"Nice to meet you, Okkotsu." Geto said, holding his hand with both of his in a placating manner. "I'm Suguru Geto." The man introduced himself.
"Oh, um, nice to meet you." Yuta responded, seemingly unaware of the immense danger the man posed.
All of the other 1st years were not so ignorant, they all turned to him as soon as they processed his movement. 'So fast' they all shouted in their minds as they tensed.
"You have quite the fantastic power. I think great power should be used for great endeavors." Geto continued, completely ignoring the rest.
"Do you see anything wrong with the world today?" Geto asked Yuta. "Jujutsu sorcerers are forced to work in the shadows to protect non jujutsu society." He pressed without giving Yuta a moment to answer his question.
"You see…" Geto started again while throwing his right arm around Yuta's shoulder as he raised his left fist. "It's a paradox in which the strong must protect the weak." He continued with the passion of a practiced bard. "IT'S DEPLORABLE!" He shouted.
"Right…" Yuta agreed, more out of perceived obligation than out of actual agreement.
"Humanity has hindered their own evolution. Such utter nonsense." Geto continued his impassioned speech. "It's about time we take another look at humanity's survival. So I'd like your help." Geto finished, finally giving Yuta a chance to speak.
"With what?" Yuta asked, very uncomfortable with the stranger so close.
"Killing all non jujutsu sorcerers and realizing a world with only jujutsu sorcerers!!" Geto shouted, raising his fist even higher into the air.
'What is he talking about?' Maki, Panda, and Isamu all thought simultaneously.
"Now, now, don't be spouting crazy talk to my students." They all heard from behind them.
"Saturo!! It's been so long!" Geto said, his tone turning to one of familiarity like he hadn't just announced his plans to slaughter most of earths population.
"Step away from them, Suguru." Gojo said sternly as he approached his students and the invaders.
"I heard about the excellent first years." Geto said, completely ignoring Gojo's words. "I see. So they're under your care." He continued, his arm still slung over Yuta's shoulders.
"A special grade cursed human. An abrupt-mutation cursed corpse. A cursed speech descendent. The raising star of the Inumaki clan. And…" Geto said, trailing off with a cruel smile. "The Zen'in family failure." He finished, looking straight at Maki.
Maki's, and Isamu's, blood boiled at the insult. "Why you-" Maki began before being interrupted.
"Careful what you say now. I don't need, a monkey like you in the world I'm creating." Geto said condescendingly while literally looking down on Maki.
"Sorry." Yuta said while slapping Geto's arm off his shoulder. "I don't get what you're talking about just yet. But I'm not gonna help someone who talks down to my friends!!" Yuta declared.
"My apologizes, I didn't mean to upset." Geto said, looking genuinely regretful.
"So, then. Why did you come here." Gojo asked, inserting himself between Geto and Yuta.
"To declare war." Geto said unflinchingly. "To all those gathered here!! Listen up!" Geto shouted, now addressing all sorcerers who had gathered to defend jujutsu high from the enemy invasion.
"This December 24th at sun down! The Night Parade of a Hundred Demons will commence." Geto declared menacingly. "This will take place at the crucible of curse Shinguku in Tokyo! And at Jujutsu's sacred land, Kyoto." Geto continued.
"I will release a thousand curses at each location. Of course, they'll be issued orders to massacre. If you want to avoid this impending hell, put your life's on the line and fight." Geto monologued. "Let's curse each other, to our heart content."
"Ahhhhh! Master Geto, the store's closing soon!!" Nanako said while looking at her phone.
"Going somewhere with so many monkeys. What's the-" Geto began to ask before cutting himself off. "Sorry, Satoru. The girls want to try the crepe shop on Takeshita Street. I'll be on my way then." He finished while turning back towards the girls.
"Leaving? Not on my watch." Gojo said, preparing himself for a fight.
"Don't try it." Geto said, not even trying towards Gojo. Before Gojo could do anything, a large cyclops like curse sprung up out of nowhere while multiple cursed spirits surrounded the first years. "Your precious students are within my range." Geto threatened.
"Well then everyone." Geto said while grabbing hold of the pelican curses leg, now back to his happier tone. "See you on the battlefield." He bid his farewell before flying off.
——
Isamu walked along side Panda, Toga, and Inumaki in Shinguku, preparing himself for battle. Suddenly, Gojo grabbed Toga and Panda, one by the scruff and the other by the collar, before dragging them away. "No Questions!" Gojo shouted.
"Geto is at jujutsu high. For sure! Maybe! Definitely!" Gojo said urgently. "If I'm right, worst case, Maki and Yuta will die." He continued, ignoring Pandas confused questions.
"Isamu and I will join you as soon as we're done here." Gojo said as he clasped his hands together in a hand sign. "Sorry! But protect them with your life!" Gojo requested.
"Got it!" Panda said as Toga also agreed. Gojo then finished the ritual and teleported them to jujutsu high in the next second.
Isamu, who had rushed to Gojo's said, began gesturing frantically. 'Send me too. If Maki and Yuta are in danger, I need to protect them.'
"No, we need you here. Your cursed technique is more specialized for curses and you have better endurance than Toga." Gojo explained while examining the area.
Before Isamu could argue further, they both heard a voice. "My name is Miguel, your opponent." Said a dark skinned my specking accented Japanese from a near by roof top.
"Isamu, go clear out as many curses as you can. Take out any cursed users too, don't worry about taking them as prisoners." Gojo quickly said before turning to the African man.
Isamu, seeing no reason to delay further, sprinted off towards the largest cluster of curses he could find. Once he was near, a humanoid mole man looking cursed spirit appeared from beneath Isamu, attempting to grab his legs and pull him into the ground.
Isamu jumped up, avoiding the mole man's atttack with ease, before unsheathing his sword and plunging it into the curses head, exorcising it instantly. Before Isamu could catch his breath, he was set upon by three more curses with similar appearances.
One attempted to bear hug him, which Isamu promptly slipped away from before cutting the curse in half. A second charged, Isamu jumped, flying over its head and cutting it down the middle while above it.
He landed feet first on a third mole man's face. The curses head was driven into the ground before Isamu stabbed his blade downward into the curses skull, killing it instantly.
The time he took dispatching the three mole men gave the other curses in the horde enough time to surround Isamu. A problem Isamu quickly solved.
"Die."
The few dozen curses that had gathered around Isamu all exploded into the dust all cursed spirits turned into once exorcised. Isamu rubbed his neck in discomfort, normally such a command on such a weak curse wouldn't do much to Isamu but due to the amount of curses it was used on, the minor damaged added up.
Before Isamu could rush off towards the next group of curses, a large human hand came flying at him from his blind spot. The hand wasn't attached to anything, just flouting in the air. Even so, it carried a lot of weight and force behind it, like a giant just swatted him.
The hand smashed him into the wall of a nearby building and pinned him there. After a beat, it disappeared. Once his vision was no longer blocked by the palm, Ismau was able to make out two attackers.
One of them was a male swordsman with an eyepatch covering the left side of his face. The other was the same shirtless man that accompanied Geto to jujutsu high during his declaration of war. Judging by his outstretched hand, Isamu judged the giant hand was his cursed technique.
"Master Geto figured you'd be trouble. Seems he was right, as always. So we'll be your opponents tonight." The bare chested my said, putting his right hand in his hip.
While the man talked, Isamu strategized. The man's hand technique was dangerous, his body was still acing from the attack. But every technique had a downside, Isamu guessed that this techniques weakness was that the man's real hand needed to be intact to use the large hand.
So all Isamu needed to do was use cursed speech and crush the man's hands and as long as the man didn't have reverse cursed technique, Isamu was fine. The issue with that though was the man's knowledge on Isamu. Geto knew about cursed speech and how to counter it and if Geto assigned his attacks with taking Isamu down, they would definitely know too.
So cursed speech was basically useless outside of his head start binding vow. But there were a few problems with that. One, it was not a guarantee that a command using that technique would destroy both arms, so if only one arm was crushed and the man could use his technique with either hand, Isamu would be in a bad spot.
The other problem was that these two men were not his only opponents this night. Isamu still needed to fight the invading curses and Geto. He'd rather fight these two without cursed speech than Geto and his curses without cursed speech.
So all Isamu has was his trusty sword and simple domain. Simple domain would be an effective enough counter to the hand technique but it wasn't a sustainable one as simple domain would gradually wear down his cursed energy reserves. So Isamu would have to take the bare chest man out first.
With that thought in mind, Isamu rushed the other man. His attacker drew the sword with experience precession and blocked Isamu's sprinting slash. Ismau was not fighting a single target for long though as he was quickly set upon by the hand once more.
"New Shadow Style: Simple Domain."
Ismau binding vow restricting his voice didn't only apply or affect his innate cursed technique, but all techniques he used. As a result, his simple domain was much more powerful and effective than the average.
Due to this, the hand rushing at him began to slow and dissipate until it was completely nullified. Isamu then quickly sheathed his sword, taking advantage of simple domains ability to strike on full auto reflex, Ismau was able to score a hit.
"New Shadow Style: Batto Sword Drawing."
The man was barely inside of the domain but his left arm was still caught by the tip of Ismau's blade. The wound wasn't particularly deep but it definitely stung. If the man had been even a foot further into Ismau's domain, his arm would've been chopped off. Ismau would just have to be satisfied he'd taken first blood, but it was only first death that truly mattered.
