Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

Mann, it feels so weird for my Young Justice Book to get so much hype but this one has absolutely zero, I'm still not giving up on it though

We are starting with Hiruzen's POV.

—-------------

I stare at the people seated next to me. Some are pathetic, some are disgusting, and some I don't mind. It's a mix but not minor. The job they still do is to keep the village running. Without them, I wouldn't probably be able to sleep, albeit the three hours I usually get.

To be honest, the council meeting was just something I could use to expose Danzo. I could have done it in private or in a more secluded area, but I had to make an example. It seemed like I had gotten too soft on them.

They were making jokes about me, slandering me, and not talking to me the way they used to. Back in the second Shinobi war, the mere mention of my name would strike respect, but now it's pathetic.

It was truly unacceptable and I had made the Konoha council slack off. Now it was like a kid's tea party.

I still wonder, where did it all go wrong?

"I have received reports of something troubling and it ties in with an s-class secret!" I said, projecting my voice across the room.

"S-class huh? How annoying" the Nara Head spoke.

"Someone went and did it huh?" another one spoke, this time someone from the civilian council.

"Such insolence to disregard the importance of keeping such a secret undisclosed," the Hyuga Head spoke.

"I demand Silence in the room!" I say, annoyed that the rascals couldn't even keep their mouths shut for a two-minute speech.

"You're petty speech can wait for after the meeting, the deliverance of my words holds more value!" I exclaim I wouldn't stand now for any disrespect.

"Mind disclosing what the S-class secret leakage is about Hiruzen!" Danzo spoke, and you could hear his voice shaking nevertheless it still stood firm.

"First of all, it is Lord Third to you Danzo, second of all I do not take orders from the like of you!" I replied in annoyance.

"I won't be disclosing what the S-class secret is but you could probably piece it together,".

"I've been alerted that Naruto Uzumaki's home had been breached with graffiti," I say, but before I could continue I was interrupted by a burly fat old man from the civilian council.

"It's just a bit of graffiti, he had it coming to him after all the stunts he pulled with no remorse, he is a demon, smiling while destroying the architecture of the builders who spent hours trying to create it," he spoke but I could sense he had put a lot of hate into the word demon.

"You will listen to me, you are a mere member of the most useless part of Konoha, the civilian council, I am the Hokage, the protector of your kind and the people who protect people like you!" I wasn't in the mood to take any of the civilian councils bull-shit

"If it were mere graffiti then I would have dismissed it, do you really think the leader of the biggest village in the entire world is such an idiot!" I shout at him, I swear they get dumber and more annoying each year.

The only reason I called them there was to make an example of Danzo to those of high status, they shouldn't think that because I'm old I have gotten the slightest bit soft. It still annoyed me how they would talk to me like that because I knew they wouldn't talk like that to the daimyo.

Such blatant disrespect.

"It is the message hidden behind them, and the only people in the entire village to have disclosed the situation of Naruto Uzumaki is the council,"

"At first they were words like demon but then they became more specific like foxed demon and nine tails brat," I spoke, watching the reactions of the council. There were bored expressions, some were unhappy but some looked smug and almost happy.

"Now I have a few suspects of who might be behind the break of this S-class secret!" I finished, if the civilian council was scared they sure did not show it. They seemed impassive, almost bored.

"If you own up now, maybe the penalty won't be as brutal!" I say, truth be told I was lying completely, there would be no mercy shown to the adversary who did this.

I intently scanned the room starting at the Clan Heads, seeing their bored expressions, I then moved on to the civilian council, which seemed mostly happy and some didn't seem to care and then I scanned the elders… before stopping at Danzo.

We locked eyes, he knew what he had done and he also knew what was coming, there was no denying it.

"Danzo…." I said

"Yes Lord Third," he replied.

"Explain yourself," I spoke back with a smug grin, I had won this battle. I was one step ahead.

I looked at the shocked expressions of the council, some even had knowing looks on their faces. It was kind of pleasing to know that I had succeeded.

Well, I hadn't really been particularly hunting Danzo down but it still felt nice to have a victory over such a wicked man. I had long embraced that this Danzo wasn't the Danzo I knew back twenty or thirty years ago.

—--DANZO POV--------

Hiruzen is a silly man. He is not very good at this game, is he?

He's playing checkers. I'm playing chess.

It was idiotic to address a crime scene without showing proof. Isn't it so embarrassing that he turns the blame straight to me without explaining how I'm behind?

I don't know whether to laugh at him or pity him for his blindness to detail. He thought he was one step ahead… bitch I'm two steps ahead.

Look at his stupid smug grin, he got the entire council fooled even the Nara Head.

While he is calling this stupid meeting my anbu is eliminating any evidence we left behind that dated back to me. So by the time he realizes he has no means of arresting and executing me, it'll be too late for him to do anything.

This was a perfectly executed plan that diverted the attention of the Anbu and high-ranking shinobi.

First I planted a few root members male and female, to go to the Red Light District and sleep with a few people while constantly mentioning the damn Uzumaki's name. They would link up the nine-tailed fox to his whiskers and then mention his pranks.

This was a risky plan but luckily there were only 5 root members who were executing this plan.

Secondly, I sent some root members dressed as anbu to talk about the nine-tailed fox before acting like they weren't supposed to say that. The supermarket for civilians is rarely used by shinobi due to the bad durability of the clothes.

Thirdly, I had an Anbu member go to a pub and talk about how he saw the correlation between Naruto and the fox.

Needless to say, it went perfectly and the news is spreading like wildfire and soon enough everyone in the village will hate Naruto. Then when everyone seemed to have abandoned him I came in.

I act like a saviour, give him free food, talk to him, and some Shinobi tips. I know Hiruzen lies about him not knowing his parents, so I will then act like an all-knowing Shinobi. So when he asks about his parents I will tell him.

Then when he talks about Hiruzen, I will try to make him slander him and also talk about Hiruzen knowing his parents but still refusing to tell him.

Of course, I don't want him to exactly hate the position of Hokage, so I'll just tell him that Hiruzen isn't fit for the role and someone like me and him(when he grows up) will be the only viable candidates.

Some of the plans can be tweaked but for now, all I need is the boy joining my side.

I should probably focus back on the meeting, this one word will end it all.

"Proof?"

—--HIRUZEN POV-----

He thought he was two steps ahead…. Bitch I was three steps ahead.

"Inoichi-san scan his brain!"

—--------------

Lots of plot twists and stuff… don't mind the swearing it was just when I thought something was funny.
