When it comes to speed, few Pokémon in the world can match the pace of a Ninjask at the same level. With a base Speed stat of 160 and its Speed Boost ability, Ninjask reaches an unparalleled level of velocity.

As soon as the female Trainer released her Ninjask, it began flapping its wings at an astonishing rate, transforming its body into a blur of light as it zipped around the battle arena.

In this 20x10 meter space, it completed a lap in just over two seconds, showcasing its terrifying speed.

The Shiny Wingull had initially held an advantage due to its speed, but the battle had barely started when the female Trainer's Level 22 Ninjask overwhelmed it.

The Shiny Wingull, despite its nimbleness, quickly fell behind.

As time passed, flashes of light, symbolizing Ninjask's increasing speed, repeatedly appeared, further widening the gap.

A series of piercing sonic booms echoed above the battlefield.

At this moment, Sato witnessed firsthand the relentless, lightning-fast attacks of a Ninjask.

It left behind fleeting afterimages in the air, giving the illusion that it had summoned numerous clones to strike the Shiny Wingull from all directions using the Bug-type move Fury Cutter.

Fortunately, as a Flying-type, the Shiny Wingull only took normal damage from Bug-type moves. Additionally, Ninjask struggled to maintain its rapid attacks for extended periods.

Otherwise, the compounded damage of Fury Cutter might have already knocked the Shiny Wingull out.

Even so, in just over ten seconds, the Shiny Wingull, cloaked in Aqua Ring and following Sato's command to use Aqua Jet defensively, was battered and bruised.

Without a change in strategy, defeat was only seconds away.

Surprisingly, Sato remained calm and composed, in stark contrast to his opponent, who was visibly anxious and restless on the platform.

"Darn it! Ninjask, stop accelerating and create some distance!"

Seeing that the Shiny Wingull still hadn't fallen after 16 seconds of relentless assault, the female Trainer finally lost her composure and issued a new command.

There's no such thing as a free lunch, and as Ninjask's Trainer, the girl knew this better than anyone. Ninjask's greatest weaknesses were its stamina and physical resilience.

For a Ninjask, unleashing rapid, high-speed attacks in just over ten seconds consumed an enormous amount of energy. Its fragile body couldn't sustain such a strain.

Have you ever seen sprinters collapse after an all-out dash of several hundred meters?

Ninjask's current state resembled that—its body steamed like a freshly cooked shrimp, the result of intense heat from rapid energy depletion.

Ninjask needed a cooldown period. Without it, it would collapse before its opponent.

In fact, many Trainers inexperienced with Ninjask's limits have pushed it too far, resulting in tragic injuries that ended the Pokémon's battling career.

"Now's our chance, Wingull! Use Quick Attack with Wing Attack!"

Seizing the opportunity, Sato's eyes gleamed as he issued his command.

The Shiny Wingull, frustrated from the one-sided battle so far and stung by the burning pain of its injuries, eagerly obeyed.

In its weakened state, Ninjask, out of energy and unable to react, had no choice but to endure the Shiny Wingull's furious assault.

Though Wingull's base Attack stat wasn't particularly high, the super-effective Wing Attack was devastating for the frail Ninjask.

With a pained cry, the Ninjask plummeted like a baseball struck with full force, slamming into the ground. The power behind the Shiny Wingull's attack was evident from its earlier fury.

Even so, Wingull wasn't unscathed. Its left wing had gone numb, and it imagined hearing a faint cracking sound. Thankfully, the soothing effects of Aqua Ring gradually restored feeling to its wing.

Taking advantage of Ninjask's weakened state, Wingull ignored the pain in its wing and unleashed a barrage of Water Gun attacks into the small crater where Ninjask had fallen.

Moments later, the thoroughly drenched Ninjask floated lifelessly in the water-filled depression, motionless after spitting out a final bubble of air.

With this hard-fought victory,Wingull, now at Level 21 after defeating five consecutive opponents, was switched out for Sato's Growlithe. Sato also adjusted the arena's rules to prohibit the use of Flying-types.

So far, excluding his initial victory over the previous arena leader, Sato had defended his title four times in a row with the same Pokémon.

His impressive streak made him the center of attention at the low-level training ground.

A large crowd of eager Trainers had now gathered around the arena, all determined to take down the reigning leader.

Every Trainer at the training ground had the same goal: to challenge stronger opponents and grow. Here, only the most skilled could hold onto the title of arena leader.

Unbeknownst to Sato, this large-scale battle venue, located near the Battle Tower in LaRousse City, was an official facility.

It had a unique rule: any Trainer who achieved a 10-win streak as the arena leader would qualify to compete in the LaRousse City Junior Cup next Saturday at the end of the month.

So far, only a handful of Trainers had earned the right to participate in this prestigious tournament. These individuals would represent LaRousse City in matches against the brightest young talents from the Hoenn League.

They would also have the rare opportunity to face off against Hoenn's Elite Four, the Champion, and the 18 Battle Tower leaders in exhibition matches.

Without any prompting from Sato, another eager opponent quickly stepped onto the opposing platform and released a Level 25 Graveler to challenge his Growlithe.
