The heart-wrenching cries of the two Pinsir naturally reached the ears of their leader and Sato.

In an instant, the Pinsir leader, which was about to catch up to Sato, suddenly slammed to a halt and angrily turned to look back at the enemy who had defeated its subordinates.

Meanwhile, Sato took advantage of this opportunity to retreat behind a rock where he could partially hide his body, using the moment to catch his breath and alleviate the overwhelming pressure in his chest.

At this moment, Sato's physical condition was terrible; his wounds had reopened. The intense exertion had caused his blood to flow more rapidly, and his reopened wounds were bleeding profusely. Coupled with sweat soaking into these wounds, the pain was a constant, sharp torment.

Despite this, Sato gritted his teeth and endured the pain coursing through his body. He quickly retrieved two bottles of water and two high-quality PokeBlocks from his pack, handing them to Zubat and Gloom, who were also exhausted from the battle.

Then, Sato shifted his focus back to the situation behind him. When he peeked out from behind the rock, his pupils dilated in shock as he took in the scene before him.

A fiery Growlithe was engaged in an intense battle with the Pinsir leader, and from what Sato could see, the Pinsir leader was clearly at a disadvantage against the Fire-type Pokémon.

This Growlithe was impressively strong and quite fierce. Its size was roughly equivalent to that of a normal adult dog, and it was utilizing the moves Flame Charge and Ember to deftly keep the Pinsir leader on its toes.

Flame Charge had granted Growlithe a significant boost in mobility, leaving the Pinsir leader utterly unable to land a hit on the nimble Pokémon. Growlithe's guerrilla tactics were proving to be a significant nuisance for the Pinsir leader.

(Note: Flame Charge is a physical Fire-type move with a power of 50. It engulfs the user in flames, attacking the opponent while also increasing the user's speed.)

Using the system's scanning feature, Sato examined the Growlithe that had suddenly come to their aid.

Pokemon Information:

Moves Known: Bite, Roar, Ember, Leer, Odor Sleuth, Helping Hand, Flame Wheel, Fire Fang, Tackle, Flamethrower, Quick Attack (Egg Move), Flame Charge (Tutor)

From the data, it was clear that there was a significant level difference between the Growlithe and the Pinsir leader, with a gap of seven levels. This difference in level had a pronounced impact on their current battle.

In the fight, Growlithe did not dare to engage the Pinsir leader head-on, and its few hits with Ember had not inflicted substantial damage on the Pinsir. However, Growlithe had plenty of battle experience, and its guerrilla tactics were its secret weapon for overcoming a stronger opponent.

If the Pinsir leader couldn't find a way to turn the tide of this dire situation, despite its great power, failing to hit Growlithe would mean that defeat was only a matter of time.

The searing flames engulfing the Pinsir leader were constantly stimulating its nerves, driving it to the brink of madness with intense pain. What infuriated it even more was the small creature before it, hopping around while it struggled to find a way to counterattack.

"Gah~~" Seeing its own rock creation from the move Rock Throw effortlessly dodged by Growlithe, the enraged Pinsir let out a furious roar. It then slammed a large foot, wrapped in yellowish energy, heavily onto the ground.

The Pinsir leader executed the move Bulldoze, causing the ground within a ten-meter radius to tremble violently. The ground-type energy it transmitted to the surrounding terrain erupted, dealing physical damage to other creatures nearby.

(Note: Bulldoze is a physical Ground-type move with a power of 60. It stomps the ground forcefully, attacking all nearby Pokémon and lowering their Speed by one level.)

Unfortunately for the Pinsir leader, Growlithe did not give it a single opportunity to land a hit. As the Pinsir leader gathered Ground-type energy in its foot, Growlithe sensed the impending attack.

So, when the Pinsir leader unleashed the Bulldoze move, Growlithe deftly leaped high into the air to evade the attack.

However, the Pinsir leader was no novice either. With plenty of battle experience, it finally created an opportunity to defeat its opponent.

As Growlithe leaped high into the air, the Pinsir leader's eyes gleamed with determination. It quickly gathered Rock-type energy in its spare hands, and a stone the size of a grinding wheel formed instantly.

As soon as the stone was created, the Pinsir leader, using its immense strength, tossed it effortlessly at the airborne Growlithe, executing a Rock Throw attack.

Undoubtedly, if Growlithe were hit by the stone thrown by the Pinsir leader, the combination of the Rock-type move and the Pinsir leader's furious force would severely injure Growlithe, potentially incapacitating it. In that case, Growlithe would likely be easily defeated by the enraged Pinsir leader.

However, the Pinsir leader seemed to forget one crucial detail: its enemies weren't just Growlithe. The other opponents it had chased before were still very much alive.

Just as the Pinsir leader triumphantly watched the rock soar toward Growlithe, two attacks—one green and one black—suddenly arrived from behind.

To the Pinsir leader's shock, the two differently colored attack combined to shatter the stone it had so painstakingly created.

At that critical moment, Sato had quickly reached out to help Growlithe. The attacks from Gloom's Energy Ball and Zubat's Shadow Ball successfully destroyed the rock the Pinsir leader had thrown.

"Humph, you think you can turn this around? Not a chance! Zubat, Gloom, provide ranged support to help Growlithe take down that fucking Pinsir!" Seeing Growlithe's crisis averted, Sato smiled and instructed the two Pokémon, who had regained some of their strength.

Sato knew all too well that his fate was tied to Growlithe's; if this ally, capable of suppressing the Pinsir leader, fell, he would be the next target. Thus, he had to lend his support.

Upon hearing Sato's command, Zubat and Gloom immediately complied. They unleashed Shadow Balls and Energy balls, continuously bombarding the already disadvantaged Pinsir leader, worsening its situation.

Especially since both moves had the effect of lowering the target's Special Defense, the Pinsir leader, having been struck several times, found itself in an even more dire predicament.

Meanwhile, after receiving timely assistance from Sato and the others, Growlithe easily resolved its crisis.

Having learned from this experience, Growlithe no longer gave the Pinsir leader any chance to counterattack. It worked seamlessly with Zubat and Gloom to toy with the Pinsir leader, overwhelming it almost effortlessly.

Ultimately, the Pinsir leader, with no hope of victory in sight, chose to flee, diving underground to escape the battlefield using Dig.
