These nine bikers were clearly not ordinary criminals. Their coordination was well-organized, and each one had several powerful Pokémon. During their retreat, they engaged in fierce battles with the pursuing police officers.

The bikers mostly had the same types of Pokémon—Weezing and Arbok. The five bikers in the rear had Weezing, which they commanded to release thick clouds of Smog. The black, dense smoke made it nearly impossible for the officers to see ahead, and anyone who inhaled even a small amount of the fumes immediately experienced mild poisoning.

Due to the bikers using Weezing's Smog to hinder the police, traffic on the entire street came to a standstill. The reduced visibility also caused a series of accidents, as cars crashed into one another.

The four bikers in the lead had Arbok, whose job was to clear obstacles. The bikers ordered their Arbok, coiled around their motorcycles, to spew Acid at any barriers in their way. The Acid was incredibly corrosive, eating through even steel-reinforced cars, leaving gaping holes. Many unlucky vehicles that couldn't evade them in time were mercilessly destroyed.

Adding to the chaos, these bikers were highly skilled and remarkably bold. When they encountered cars blocking their way, they simply revved their motorcycles and leaped over the vehicles' rooftops. As they soared through the air, they cackled maniacally, showing complete disregard for their own lives. Their reckless behavior terrified the drivers and passengers ahead, who quickly moved out of the way.

However, the police officers chasing the bikers were seasoned veterans. Faced with the Smog from Weezing, they promptly put on gas masks and released their Pidgeotto to help clear the smoke. In addition to dispersing the Smog, the Pidgeotto used their keen eyesight to track the bikers through the dense smoke, preventing their escape.

"These guys are insane. It looks like the city's security really is as bad as Daisy mentioned. I just got off the bus and haven't even finished my meal, and now I'm witnessing a robbery. I'll have to stay on high alert while moving around here," thought Sato, sitting by the restaurant window, his expression serious as he watched the bikers speed by.

Indeed, Saffron City, the largest metropolis in Kanto, was incredibly prosperous. It had produced countless economic miracles, but how much was hidden beneath that glittering surface?

Saffron City had too many conflicting interests. To many factions, it was a juicy prize that everyone wanted a piece of. Even with the League's strong control on the surface, the vast wealth within the city attracted ambitious individuals willing to use any means to claim their share.

As a result, Saffron had the highest crime rate of any city in Kanto. Every day, robberies occurred, and even murders were not uncommon. Gang warfare was also frequent.

This robbery was just another typical day in Saffron City, and after a few glances, Sato returned his focus to his meal. He reassured his Pokémon that everything was fine and resumed enjoying his dinner.

Unless something directly affected his interests, his loved ones, or the end of the world, Sato didn't care what happened in this world. Besides, with his current strength, getting involved would only be asking for trouble.

Sato had already used his system's scanning ability to check the bikers' strength. They were not weak. The Pokémon they had were at least level 25 or higher.

In particular, the biker at the front of the group had a Weezing and Arbok, both at level 36. With that level of power, he could easily be a Team Rocket captain-level threat.

Witnessing the reckless behavior of the bikers, many of the onlookers shared Sato's thoughts. They chose to turn a blind eye and wisely made way for the dangerous group to avoid being caught in the chaos.

"Charizard, use Flamethrower!"

"Blastoise, Water Gun!"

"Venusaur, Razor Leaf!"

Of course, there are always those who love to intervene, seek attention, or are simply driven by a strong sense of justice. As the bikers raced by, a group of well-dressed teenagers released their Pokémon to assist the police in stopping the criminals.

"Charizard, Blastoise, and Venusaur—what an enviable lineup," Sato thought to himself as he watched the battle unfold while casually enjoying his dinner.

There was no doubt that these young trainers were likely allied with the League and were owners of Pokédexes, indicating their elite status. Once they took the lead, some hesitant League trainers also released their Pokémon and joined the fray.

The League had strict rules: if a League trainer witnessed a crime, they were obligated to assist in apprehending the criminals. Failure to act could result in serious consequences, including the loss of their status as League trainers.

Now that someone had taken the initiative, others had no choice but to follow suit, especially since the "safety in numbers" rule didn't apply in this case. Any League trainer who didn't act was at risk of punishment.

The young trainers leading the charge were impressive, with fully evolved, high-level Pokémon. With additional trainers joining in, the bikers soon faced fierce resistance and were forced to halt. A massive battle ensued.

However, the bikers were seasoned criminals, used to life-or-death fights. Their battle experience far surpassed that of the young League trainers, and they fought mercilessly, aiming for fatal blows. In just a few rounds, several of the young trainers, caught off guard, were knocked out and lay unconscious on the ground.

Fortunately, the interference of these young trainers bought enough time for the police to arrive. Unlike the inexperienced trainers, the officers were battle-hardened veterans who had fought criminals before. Their arrival quickly shifted the tide of the battle in favor of the League.

"It looks like these crazed bikers are done for. Oh, Daisy's joining the fight too. Well, that's not surprising; her parents are Gym Leaders, and she's a League trainer as well. She's smart enough to stay out of the main fight though," Sato thought as he observed the bikers gradually being overwhelmed by the sheer number of League members, spotting Daisy strategically staying in the background.

Before long, the bikers started to fall one by one. However, their leader, the one holding the white backpack, was still fiercely resisting.

In a last-ditch effort, with the help of a few remaining allies, the biker leader found an opening. He immediately revved his motorcycle and sped toward the gap, attempting to make his escape.
