So, when the Pinsir leader unleashed the Bulldoze move, Growlithe deftly leaped high into the air to evade the attack.
However, the Pinsir leader was no novice either. With plenty of battle experience, it finally created an opportunity to defeat its opponent.
As Growlithe leaped high into the air, the Pinsir leader's eyes gleamed with determination. It quickly gathered Rock-type energy in its spare hands, and a stone the size of a grinding wheel formed instantly.
As soon as the stone was created, the Pinsir leader, using its immense strength, tossed it effortlessly at the airborne Growlithe, executing a Rock Throw attack.
Undoubtedly, if Growlithe were hit by the stone thrown by the Pinsir leader, the combination of the Rock-type move and the Pinsir leader's furious force would severely injure Growlithe, potentially incapacitating it. In that case, Growlithe would likely be easily defeated by the enraged Pinsir leader.
However, the Pinsir leader seemed to forget one crucial detail: its enemies weren't just Growlithe. The other opponents it had chased before were still very much alive.
Just as the Pinsir leader triumphantly watched the rock soar toward Growlithe, two attacks—one green and one black—suddenly arrived from behind.
To the Pinsir leader's shock, the two differently colored attack combined to shatter the stone it had so painstakingly created.
At that critical moment, Sato had quickly reached out to help Growlithe. The attacks from Gloom's Energy Ball and Zubat's Shadow Ball successfully destroyed the rock the Pinsir leader had thrown.
"Humph, you think you can turn this around? Not a chance! Zubat, Gloom, provide ranged support to help Growlithe take down that fucking Pinsir!" Seeing Growlithe's crisis averted, Sato smiled and instructed the two Pokémon, who had regained some of their strength.
Sato knew all too well that his fate was tied to Growlithe's; if this ally, capable of suppressing the Pinsir leader, fell, he would be the next target. Thus, he had to lend his support.
Upon hearing Sato's command, Zubat and Gloom immediately complied. They unleashed Shadow Balls and Energy balls, continuously bombarding the already disadvantaged Pinsir leader, worsening its situation.
Especially since both moves had the effect of lowering the target's Special Defense, the Pinsir leader, having been struck several times, found itself in an even more dire predicament.
Meanwhile, after receiving timely assistance from Sato and the others, Growlithe easily resolved its crisis.
Having learned from this experience, Growlithe no longer gave the Pinsir leader any chance to counterattack. It worked seamlessly with Zubat and Gloom to toy with the Pinsir leader, overwhelming it almost effortlessly.
Ultimately, the Pinsir leader, with no hope of victory in sight, chose to flee, diving underground to escape the battlefield using Dig.
