"This is a Nidoran? My goodness, it's growth is incredible!"
When he saw Sato send out Nidoran for the match, Fujita's small eyes widened, and his face showed a hint of surprise. He was stunned by the superb development of Sato's Nidoran.
Typically, a healthy Nidoran grows to about one meter in length and 0.5 meters in height, roughly the size of a mid-sized dog.
But Sato's Nidoran was clearly larger, measuring 1.2 meters in length and 0.7 meters in height. Among the many Nidoran, this one stood out.
Not only was it well-developed, but Sato's Nidoran also displayed well-defined muscle lines, especially in its powerful hind legs, which were evidently the result of disciplined and structured strength training.
"Tch, looks like this guy's loaded. Fine, go, Nidorino—teach this little one a lesson!" Fujita muttered, feeling a flash of jealousy as he compared Sato's Nidoran to any he'd raised before. Swiftly, he pulled a PokéBall from his belt and released his Pokémon.
In a flash of light, an underdeveloped Nidorino appeared, standing opposite Nidoran on the battlefield.
The crowd around the battle area let out a collective gasp at the sight of the two Pokémon.
Comparing the two, the onlookers noticed how unique Sato's Nidoran was. While Nidorino, as an evolved form, would typically have a clear advantage in size, this Nidoran was nearly comparable—possibly due to its exceptional development or the poor condition of Fujita's Nidorino.
Sato's dedicated care was evident in Nidoran's growth.
He provided Nidoran and Growlithe with the best nutrition, making sure they ate and slept well for optimal health and happiness.
Every day, each got a bottle of high-quality Moomoo Milk, a calcium supplement, and special treats post-training. With this level of care, there was no way Nidoran wouldn't thrive.
Once Fujita released his Nidorino, Sato used his system's scanning ability to view its details.

"Charge forward, Nidorino! Use Fury Attack!" Fujita called out, feeling the heat of the crowd's eyes on him, a bit flustered by their intrigued stares.
Like its Trainer, Nidorino was envious of the impressive Nidoran before it. Seeing the crowd's interest in its opponent only fueled its jealousy, and it was eager to strike, hoping to prove its own strength.
Following Fujita Kosho's command, Nidorino charged forward, its sharp horn glowing white. With a sudden burst of speed, it accelerated straight toward Nidoran.
"It's coming, Nidoran. This is your first battle, so if you lose, Growlithe's going to tease you! Follow my lead—use Double Kick to jump and dodge, then counter with Water Pulse."
After reviewing Nidorino's stats, Sato nodded quietly, then gave quick instructions to Nidoran as Nidorino neared.
Though Nidorino was the evolved form and six levels higher, its limited moveset and lack of techniques that countered Nidoran gave Sato confidence.
Additionally, Nidorino's malnourished condition meant its physical edge wasn't too significant.
Encouraged by Sato's words, Nidoran's eyes blazed with determination. Its hind legs glowed white, and it leaped high into the air, dodging Nidorino's Fury Attack just in time.
As Nidoran ascended, a blue energy orb formed quickly before it—a Water Pulse ball about the size of a soccer ball, ready to be unleashed.
With a powerful push, Nidoran launched the Water Pulse downward at Nidorino.
"Dodge with Double Team, then hit him with Poison Sting!" Fujita, now more envious than ever of Nidoran's prowess, barked his command.
'Damn it, that guy's infuriating.'
Fujita's jealousy spiked as he watched Sato's exceptionally well-developed Nidoran. It reminded him of how he had struggled to obtain his own Nidoran, now evolved into Nidorino.
As Fujita's starter, Nidorino had been trained hard and was quick to react. It pushed off the ground, leaving a blur in its place as it dodged the Water Pulse. Three illusions of Nidorino appeared around the battlefield.
The shadows, all with glowing purple spikes, released a barrage of small, purple Poison Stings from their backs, aiming at Nidoran, who was airborne with no leverage.
"Close your eyes, hold steady, and use Focus Energy," Sato called to Nidoran, his gaze sharpening.
Obeying immediately, Nidoran shut its eyes, and an orange glow erupted from its body. When it reopened its eyes, they shone fiercely.
The Poison Sting attack rained down like a hailstorm, but as a Poison-type, Nidoran resisted the attack and wasn't harmed too much.
"He's coming down—grab this chance and use Take Down to finish him!"
Noticing Nidoran beginning its descent, Fujita's eyes gleamed as he ordered Nidorino to capitalize on the moment. In a flash, Nidorino jumped out from its illusions, its true form fully visible.
White energy shone across its body as it aimed its sharp horn directly at the descending Nidoran, perfectly timed for a strike.
"Use Confusion to steady yourself, then wait for an opening and use Double Kick!"
Just as Nidorino broke free from the illusion, Sato immediately issued his own command to Nidoran.
