Chapter 16 - Pleasure and Pain(18+)

Zayden's POV:

Edith's expression shifted, since she clearly hadn't expected that. Though she hesitated, she had no choice because I knew she wanted the ring back, and that was enough to push her to follow me.

"Fine," She muttered, keeping her composure in front of my family and others. "Let's go."

Without another word, I led her up to the second floor of the wedding hall. It was quiet, away from the crowd and noise, and as soon as we reached an empty room, I stepped in and waited for her to enter.

Once she was inside, I closed the door and locked it behind us.

"What the hell?" Edith spun around, eyes narrowing in surprise and suspicion.

"Why do you lock the door, Zayden?" She demanded, her voice sharp.

I leaned back against the door, folding my arms, my eyes fixed on her. Checking her out more precisely this time, I realized she was thinner than the last time, much thinner, and even though she still looked beautiful, there was something off.

Her eyes had lost that spark, and her face paler as if she wasn't taking care of herself. But I decided to ignore it, at least for now.

"You ignore me, Edith, while wearing that stupid dress to be noticed by every other man," I said, my tone calm and composed. "I think it's time we had a little chat about that."

I watched her expression tighten the moment I mentioned her dress, and it only amused me. I took a few steps closer to her, a teasing grin on my face, watching as she stiffened. Edith looked uneasy, maybe even a little scared, but I could sense something else too. The closeness between us left her utterly nervous, but still she managed to remain firm, and I enjoyed that too.

"Give my ring back, Zayden. I need to go back to the wedding hall," she snapped as I stopped a few inches away from her.

I leaned in slightly, just enough to invade her space. "Oh, the ring?" I drawled, smirking. "I don't have it. Might've thrown it away.... I thought you don't need it anymore, do you?

Her eyes flared and face tightened with anger, and I could see her hands clenching at her sides.

"Are you kidding me?" Her voice shook with irritation.

I shrugged casually. "Maybe I'm... Maybe I'm not."

"Why did you bring me here if you're not going to give me the ring?" Edith hissed, her eyes burned with rage.

I met her gaze, not bothering to hide my smirk and let the words slip out slowly. "Because I wanted your attention—every bit of it. And, maybe, I wanted to punish you a little for dressing like a whore in front of other men."

I could see the seriousness in her eyes, the way she thought I'd crossed a line.

"Punish me?" Edith scoffed, her face twisted in disbelief. "Do you think I'm your pet or have you finally lost your mind, Zayden?"

She wasn't entirely wrong though as I seemed to have lost my mind being around her. But she didn't need to know that yet.

"Probably a pet.... Considering how you were calling me 'master' last time while I was shoving deep inside you. It's not too far off, is it?" I teased, narrowing my eyes on her.

Her cheeks flushed pink with a mix of anger and embarrassment, and for a moment, I thought she might actually slap me. But, she just glared at me, her chest rising and falling with restrained fury.

"You're disgusting," She said through gritted teeth, trying to push past me. "I'm done with your games, Zayden."

As she moved towards the door, I couldn't stop myself. In one quick motion, I reached out, grabbing her waist and pulling her into my arms. She gasped in shock but the moment I felt her against me, my whole being became more alive just the same as that night.

"Where do you think you're going?" I murmured, my fingers brushing her skin as I gently tucked a few loose strands of her sunlit blonde hair behind her ear.

Edith stiffened, but I tightened my hold, locking her in my embrace. "You're not leaving until I say so."

Her breath hitched, and for a second, I saw her flutter. She was affected by this, by me, no matter how hard she tried to hide it. But her defiance was still there.

"Le...Let me go, Zayden," she demanded, her voice shaky but firm. "I'll scream for help if you don't. I swear I will."

I grinned, the excitement only building at her threat.

"Go ahead, scream," I taunted, leaning closer until our lips were barely brushing. "I'd love for everyone to hear you scream my name."

Her body tensed, and for a brief moment, I could feel the conflict raging inside her.

I couldn't hold back any longer, her plumpy rosy lips drawing me in like a force I couldn't resist. Before I knew it, I was leaning in to capture her lips. But just as I got close, Edith turned her face away.

"Don't," She whispered firmly. "Don't ever kiss me again."

I froze, her words sinking in. Amusement flickered through me, but disappointment hit just as hard.

'She dared to reject me again?' My jaw clenched as a rush of anger surged through me, dark and volatile.

Before I could think twice, I tossed her onto the bed in the room, rougher than I intended.

Her eyes widened, more than shocked by how harshly I had thrown her. She opened her mouth to speak, but I didn't give her the chance. I climbed on top of her in an instant, pinning her beneath me, the weight of my body trapping her in place.

Her face flushed and I wasn't sure whether from the closeness or the anticipation of what I was about to do. But there was fear in her eyes too... Fear of me, and that only fueled the fire inside me.

"Za... Zayden..." She spoke, her voice trembling but I ignored it.

My hands moved swiftly, unbuttoning my suit jacket, my fingers finding the cold, hard shape of the gun I always kept tucked inside. I pulled it out, watching the color drain from her face as her eyes locked onto the weapon.

My hand wrapped around her throat, applying enough pressure to keep her in place but not enough to choke. As I pressed the barrel of the gun directly at her forehead, I felt her body go rigid beneath me.

"You think you can keep disobeying me? Try to seduce other men in front of me then push me away?" I growled, leaning in closer, my face inches from hers.

Her breathing was shallow, her pulse rapid beneath my fingers as I tightened my grip around her neck. "You already belong to me, little bird... I didn't expect you to forget it so soon."

Her chest rose and fell rapidly, panic mingling with something else in her eyes. Despite that, she found her voice.

"Ge...Get off me," Edith protested. "I...I... don't belong to you... I never will."

Even now, with a gun against her forehead, she still defied. I couldn't help being amused by her bravery. She had no idea how much I liked this... her fighting me, pushing back, refusing to give in even when she was terrified.

"My little bird..." I spoke my voice low as my hand tightened around her throat, just enough to make her feel the weight of my power. "You don't just belong to me—you breathe for me."

Then I pressed the gun harder against her forehead. Her lips parted slightly, and her body flinched, but she still held her ground.

"Is it lo...loaded?" Her voice trembled despite her best efforts to sound calm.

A dark chuckle escaped me as my finger grazed the trigger. "And if it is?" I taunted her. "Want to find out?"

"I would gladly shoot you if you keep defying me, Edith..." I remarked though I was kidding.

She didn't say anything, her eyes searching for mine, trying to figure out if I was serious. But that hesitation, that fear, it only made me press further.

"In my world, mercy doesn't exist, but I'll give you one chance to surrender," I commanded, my tone hardening. "Apologize for wearing this pathetic excuse of a dress, for trying to ignore me like I don't own you."

He lips tightened, and despite the fear swirling in her gaze, she shook her head, a faint whisper of defiance on her lips. "No."

I raised an eyebrow, more amused than angered by her refusal.

"Apologize, Edith..." I demanded, my hand tightening around her throat as I loomed over her. "You don't know what I'm capable of if you keep pushing. I'm showing you mercy... Don't make me regret that."

Her breath hitched, but she shook her head again, more firmly this time. "I won't... You don't own me and I won't surrender to you."

So stubborn even with the gun in her face... I could feel my frustration blowing over with her continued defiance.

I withdrew my hand from her throat, pulling the gun away from her forehead. But before Edith could comprehend the shift, I began to drag the gun slowly sliding down against her collarbone, then dipped lower, skimming through her exposed cleavage.

Edith shivered, as she eyed me with suspicion and fear. My lips twisted in a cruel smile, as I dragged the gun lower, past her breast, all the way to the beneath of her slutty dress and finally rested it against the fabric covering her pussy.

She gasped, her hips bucking involuntarily as I pressed the cold barrel of the gun harder, indenting the fabric.

"You defied me again... Now you'll pay in pleasure and pain."
