Chapter 2 - Chapter 02

August 5

Today was another day of rekindling old memories. I woke up early, the sunlight peeking through the curtains in my room. The bed was so comfortable that I didn't want to get up, but the thought of everything that happened yesterday kept me wide awake. It's strange being back here after all these years, yet it feels oddly familiar.

After a quick wash, I went downstairs. Xingyi, or Sophie as she prefers to be called here, was already awake and fully engrossed in sorting through old photos and videos of my childhood. She's always been fascinated by my past, maybe even more than I am. I let her be and turned on the TV, waiting for the delivery we ordered for breakfast. We decided on nothing too fancy, but it felt like a good comfort meal to start the day.

When the doorbell rang, I grabbed Sophie's wallet and headed to the door.

"Cash! How much is it?" I said, rummaging through the wallet. I looked up since no one replied to me. When I looked up, there was a soft yet striking appearance boy with wavy, blonde hair that fell naturally around his face. His grey eyes stand out. His face is youthful and defined, with a sharp jawline and smooth, fair skin that highlights his clear complexion. He had a slim, athletic build, suggesting an active lifestyle, though he doesn't appear overly muscular.

"E?" He said, making me go through memories; who is this?

"Wyatt?" His smile grew bigger, and we both went for a hug.

Seeing him again, this time at my doorstep, brought back even more memories. He had seen the delivery guy and came to see who was there. We talked and laughed about old times, and Sophie joined in, teasing me as always. I never thought we'd become so close again after all these years apart, but here we are as if no time has passed.

The afternoon was a blur of catching up and reminiscing. We eventually got ready for dinner at Wyatt's house-something I was both excited and nervous about. It had been so long since I last saw Aunt Wagner, Uncle Wagner, and Joshua. I wanted to make a good impression, even though I knew they'd probably just be happy to see me.

I dressed up carefully, wanting to look my best. When Wyatt saw me, his expression said it all. He was surprised- maybe even impressed. It felt good, though I couldn't help but feel a little shy under his gaze.

Dinner at the Wagner's was wonderful. We talked for hours, catching up on everything we've missed over the years. Aunt Wagner was as warm and loving as I remembered, and Uncle Wagner still had that quiet, comforting presence. Joshua had grown up too, but he still had that mischievous glint in his eye.

They invited me to stay a few more days, and after some thought, I agreed. It feels like there's still so much to catch up on, and I'm not ready to leave just yet. Sophie was fine with the change of plans, so I'll be staying with the Wagners for the rest of my trip. I can't wait to see what the next few days will bring.

After dinner, Aunt Wagner and I had a heart-to-heart. She asked me all sorts of questions about my life, my dreams, and even my thoughts on boys. It was nice to talk to her like this like we used to when I was younger. She's always been someone I could open up to, and tonight was no different.

When it was time to leave, Wyatt insisted on walking me back. We joked around, just like old times, and before he left, he asked for a goodnight kiss. I rolled my eyes, but I gave him one on the cheek anyway. It felt natural, like something we'd always done.

Now, as I sit here in bed writing this, I can't help but smile. Today was a good day filled with memories and new beginnings. I wonder what tomorrow will bring. Whatever it is, I'm ready for it.

August 6

I woke up and did my usual morning routine. Since Xingyi had been working late into the night-balancing her studies and managing some of my tasks, she decided to make breakfast for us. She's been busy studying law, aiming to become a celebrity agent one day.

For breakfast, I made poached eggs, steamed broccoli, and sausages, with strawberry waffles and Greek yogurt on the side. I also prepared some milk. Once Xingyi was awake, we ate together. While we were eating, Wyatt dropped by, ready to join me for the day. I didn't have any specific plans, but I wanted to try out some food places, and Wyatt offered to tag along. Of course, I agree it's always more fun with company.

I got dressed in light blue skinny jeans and a mint and emerald floral long-sleeved tie-front crop top. I paired the outfit with black ankle boots and a classic black flap bag with rose gold accessories and did my hair in a rolled bun with a few loose strands. My makeup was kept nude and simple.

Xingyi was busy with her online lessons, so I said goodbye and stepped outside, just as a car pulled up from the Wagners' house. Joshua was driving, with Wyatt in the passenger seat. I shrugged and hopped into the backseat of the black Lamborghini Urus. The interior was sleek-black and red. Both of them turned to look at me as I settled in.

"Will you mind if my girlfriend joins us?" Joshua asked.

"Of course not," I replied.

Joshua asked if I had any specific places in mind for the day, and I showed him my list on my phone. He smiled and nodded, and we set off. Joshua was dressed in an all-black outfit, while Wyatt wore ripped blue denim and a white shirt.

After a while, the car stopped, and Joshua's girlfriend joined us. She was a stunning surprise there. She wore a black see-through long-sleeved crop top with a black bra underneath, paired with a black denim skirt. She accessorized with heels, a Gucci belt, and a Gucci black flap bag. Her blonde hair was loose, and she had matching accessories.

She greeted Joshua with a kiss, said hello to Wyatt, and then turned to me. "Anna," she said with a smile, extending her hand.

I shook her hand and introduced myself. "E."

Joshua drove us to the first place on my list, grabbing coffee at Starbucks. Wyatt and I went inside to order, leaving Joshua and Anna in the car, where they were locked in a heated kiss when we returned. Wyatt cleared his throat to break them up.

The day flew by as we tried out different foods, eating something new every 5 to 10 minutes. By the time we were done with dinner, Joshua and Anna suggested we check out a private bar. At first, I was hesitant because I was still a minor, but since Joshua had booked the whole place, I went along. Inside, we met some of their close friends, and I was introduced to everyone. The night turned into a mix of karaoke and drinks-though I stuck to juice.

It was around 2 a.m. when we finally returned to the Wagners' house. Aunt Wagner had prepared some clothes for me in my room, which was a thoughtful gesture.

When I was in San Francisco I have always been a part of Wagners family. Aunty Wagner, Uncle Wagner, Joshua, Wyatt and me. Uncle Wagner and Aunt Wagner always expected a girl, but after Wyatt was born, Aunt Wagner couldn't conceive again. Therefore, since they knew their neighbor had a new baby girl, they wanted to keep me. Ours was in front of their house. It was a surprise that they didn't kidnap me and keep me to themself. I was the little princess in their eyes and they have forever loved me more than Joshua and Wyatt.

I have my room in Wagner's house. Wagner is wealthy. The only room I had girly stuff was my room in Wagner's house. There is also a staircase and a slide in the room. It's so pink and Barbie-themed. A Barbie doll collection and the vanity and the closet. It was like Aunt Wagner was expecting me. I was 5 when I moved out, and the clothes and things in there should have been for a toddler, but it's like she has updated, and the items and things there were suitable for a teen.

August 7

I was dressed in a drawstring halter off-white lurex branco paired with a pink, beige, and orange mini-skirt adorned with white maple leaf prints, complemented by white heeled sandals, a white Chanel flip bag, and gold Tiffany jewelry.

Wyatt wore off-white jeans with a pink loose short-sleeve shirt and a gold Rolex on his left wrist.

Joshua wearing black trousers, a brown inner layer, and a black leather jacket when I came down for breakfast they got into Joshua's black Chevrolet Corvette,

The group was completed when they picked up Joshua's girlfriend, who wore a black leather skirt, a brown long-sleeve top, black boots, a black YSL purse, and simple silver accessories. And Joshua's girlfriend Anna was sitting back at sea,t and soon Joshua stopped by Starbucks to pick up drinks. Like yesterday, Anna was already in the passenger seat.

We started with a food tour, savoring some of the city's finest cuisines, from gourmet street tacos to Michelin-starred dishes. Each restaurant offered a unique ambiance, tantalizing their taste buds beyond satisfaction. After the culinary indulgence, they hit the high-end shopping districts and even bought flowers. The day was filled with laughter, indulgence, and numerous bags of exclusive finds. By the end, we were not only well-fed but a lot of things brought, a full day of shopping, I spent the night at the Wagners' house again.
