Chapter 3 - Ruthless Raymond

*Young Madam!*

"Huh...?" Nancy stood up immediately. "I apologize," she stammered nervously.

Everyone exchanged glances, shock evident on their faces.

"Young Madam, what are you apologizing for?" a maid asked in confusion.

"I... I..." Nancy didn't know what to say. She was lost in thought, trying to figure out how to explain herself when suddenly her stomach let out a loud noise. She rubbed her stomach, feeling embarrassed.

"Young Madam is hungry!" the maids echoed together before quickly disappearing, leaving only Lori behind.

Nancy looked confused.

"Young Madam, please let me take you to freshen up before you fill your stomach," Lori smiled beautifully.

Nancy looked at Lori and held her hand.

"all the guards looked shocked?"

Lori paused...

"Lori, will you be my friend?" Nancy asked, blinking several times.

The guards exchanged glances: "This Young Madam, is she pretending or what?" they thought

"Um, Young Madam, I dare not accept the position of your friend; I am very satisfied with being your personal maid," Lori replied, her smile brightening.

"No... please be my friend," Nancy insisted, her voice low and melodic.

Lori was completely at loss. "Young Madam am really not qualified to be your friend please understand me" she replied.

Feeling rejected, Nancy slowly bowed her head. "I understand," she murmured in a choked voice.

Lori was about to say something when suddenly she felt a hot drop on her hand, which was being held by Nancy. Her brows lightly knitted together, and when she looked down, she noticed a tear. "Young... Young Madam!" she exclaimed, scared to the point of shaking. "Why... why are you crying?"

Nancy sniffed. "You don't want to be my friend, but I like you," she raised her beautiful face, now stained with tears.

All the guards' mouths opened wider in shock.

Lori was rendered speechless. "Young Madam, it's not like I don't want to be your friend," she stammered.

"I understand. You don't like me," Nancy interjected, releasing Lori's hand. "I'm going to sleep," she murmured as she walked away.

"Young Madam!" Lori stood rooted in one spot. "What type of Young Madam is this?" she murmured, looking at the guards, who were equally stunned. She bit her lower lip and made her way upstairs, knocking on the bedroom door. "Young Madam, please don't sleep on an empty stomach!" she pleaded, but there was no response. She knocked several more times, but still, there was silence.

"This is not good. If Young Master comes back and notices that she didn't eat anything and just went to bed on an empty stomach, I will definitely be doomed," she thought to herself. "Young Madam... I will agree to your request if you eat something," she called out after a moment of thought.

The door opened, and Nancy's excited face popped out.

"Really?" she smiled beautifully.

"Really, I promise, Young Madam."

"Then I will eat!"

...

At the long dining table, various dishes and snacks were laid out, the aroma filling the air and causing Nancy's stomach to rumble repeatedly, even though her stomach was rumbling, there was a troubled expression on her face. "Can I eat? No perhaps I can eat when others Join me" She thought to herself.

"Young Madam, why don't you start eating?" Lori asked.

"Huh, I'm waiting for you guys," Nancy replied sincerely.

"Ah," Lori was dumbfounded. "Us?" she asked, and Nancy nodded in confirmation. "Young Madam, we already had our meal. You should eat comfortably; there's no need to wait for us." She flashed a sweet smile at Nancy.

"You've eaten already," Nancy blinked several times. "Will you have more?" she asked Lori.

"Um... Young Madam, you should eat now. If Young Master comes back and finds you staring at the food without eating, I will be to blame for it," Lori replied.

"Oh, that's it," Nancy bit her lower lip. "Then I will eat," she commented and began to eat. After taking just three spoonfuls of rice, she put the spoon down and said, "I'm full."

"What!" Lori exclaimed, her voice echoing in disbelief. "You haven't eaten anything, and you say you're full!"

"I had something. I had three spoonfuls of rice, and now I'm too full," Nancy insisted.

"Young Madam, don't you like the food?" Lori queried.

"It's good, very good," Nancy replied.

"Then why don't you want to eat more?" Lori asked, a growing concern festering in her mind. "Is she trying to make things difficult for me?" she thought to herself. "Young Madam, you need to eat more to have more energy. You're too delicate."

"I really ate it," Nancy replied, looking at all the food that was left untouched. "Is she feeling like I want to waste the food?" she thought and picked up the spoon once more. "I should eat; I can't let her have negative thoughts about me," she mused, and started eating.

Lori's brows knitted together as she observed Nancy, feeling like she was forcing herself to eat. "Why do I feel like something is not right?" she murmured, watching Nancy, who now seemed to be covered in sweat, her face pale. Even taking the spoon to her mouth appeared difficult for her. "What happened to you, Young Madam?" she inquired, worry evident in her voice.

Nancy shook her head lightly, forcing another spoonful of food into her mouth. She looked extremely pale and weak.

"Young Madam!" Lori exclaimed, noticing something was off. She moved closer to Nancy, but just as she approached her, Nancy suddenly lost her balance and fell to the ground, vomiting everything she had eaten.

"Someone! Someone!" Lori cried out in panic.

...

"Mr. Rock Ray... your wife is a gastroparesis patient and doesn't have the stomach to digest food properly. In addition, she also has food allergies. Forcing her to eat food she's allergic to and making her consume more than she can handle has caused significant damage to her body. Fortunately, the situation is still under control. She needs to take these medications regularly. Here is a list of suggested foods to provide her, and if she responds to treatment, her appetite will improve," the doctor explained.

"Thank you," Raymond responded, taking the list of medications from the doctor.

"Please take more care of her from now on," the doctor advised before leaving with his belongings.

Raymond sat on the edge of the bed beside the unconscious Nancy and gently rubbed her hair. "During my absence all these years, what exactly did you experience? Why have you been reduced to this?" he wondered, feeling pain well up inside him. He softly caressed her fair face, pulled out his phone, and dialed a number. "Look into the matter of the Frances family for me," he instructed before ending the call. He bent down and kissed her forehead before standing up and leaving.

...

Raymond sat on the throne like chair in the living room, his face chillingly cold, and the air around him felt frigid. Men surrounded him, and Lori, with her disheveled appearance, was lying on the ground weeping.

"Mina!" Raymond called, and a beautiful woman dressed in short black pants and a tube top walked over.

"Boss," Mina replied, bowing respectfully.

"Thirty slaps!" he ordered.

"Yes, boss." Mina walked toward Lori, lifting her face by her hair before delivering a thunderous slap that echoed through the silent room. She continued until the number reached thirty. "Done, boss," she said, bowing before Raymond after releasing Lori's hair.

"Five right fingers and five left toes, disable all of it, After that, make her bald!" Raymond commanded emotionlessly.

"Young... Young Master, I... I'm sorry! I really didn't force Young Madam to eat; I just encouraged her to eat more. I... I didn't know she was... She was...please pardon me!" Lori pleaded, crying even harder in desperation.

"You know... I have already pardoned you by not killing you. You are quite lucky," Raymond retorted coldly, his voice devoid of emotion. "you supposed to be happy right now!" he said, playing with his fingers. "Also...."

"Lori!" a sweet, low voice echoed, stunning everyone in the room.

Raymond's eyes widened, as if cold water had been poured over him. "Oh no, did she hear everything?" he thought nervously.

A tense silence filled the air as all eyes turned toward the source of the voice, the atmosphere thick with uncertainty.
