Chereads / Loving You Alone / Chapter 9 - Subtle Expression

Chapter 9 - Subtle Expression

At the bar, all kinds of expensive sports cars and motorcycles rush by, and the exhaust fumes burn money.

In the past, Isla went to high-end clubs, with bodyguards clearing the way, surrounded by friends, and extremely high security, but she returned to a bar for the first time.

However, this bar was also quite famous in New York. It was a membership-based place, and many wealthy people gathered there.

She has loved to play and explore all the gold sales dens here. She held the membership card between her two fingers and waved it, and was respectfully welcomed into the bar by the security guards.

The sound in the bar was so loud that Isla's ears hurt.

Isla was stunned at first glance. Sarah, on the stage, was indeed different in style. Under the stage lights, the heavy makeup could be seen, making her look enchanting and charming.

Isla still didn't want to wake up, so what could she do?

The noisy sounds reached Isla's ears. It was strange that the bar was crowded with people, but Isla could fixate on Mark's figure at a glance. He was noble, dark, and violent, without any trace of calmness. At that moment, Isla couldn't see what was causing trouble in her heart, so he became a bit strange in her eyes.

She watched him fall into madness for another woman.

It seemed that as soon as he met her, he lost his mind.

Isla walked in the direction of Mark. The pure and beautiful look on her body was particularly eye-catching in the crowd.

There was a crazy crowd around her, and all those prying eyes on her were blocked by Mark's intimidating eyes.

"Isla, what are you going to do?" Mark asked.

As she walked, she looked sideways at the beauty on the stage and said abruptly, "What do you think if I go up and dance?"

"You're crazy!" he pulled her to a stop, feeling that she was so angry that she lost her mind, "How can a place like this deserve a dance from you?"

Isla was influenced by her artist mother and began to learn classical dance from famous masters at the age of three. At the age of fifteen, she became famous in New York with her sleeve dance.

That year, all the noble gentlemen were turned upside down by her, and he never gave up thinking about her for so many years.

Isla asked calmly, "You like to watch it, doesn't you?"

Mark had a headache and a sore throat, and his voice was shrill, "Is it dance that men like to watch? It's a dance without clothes!"

"Isla, let's go back now." He pulled her to leave, but she threw him away.

She raised her eyebrows and smiled, and the five-colored lights hit her face, which was full of monsters. "If I want to go back, doesn't it mean that I'm admitting defeat?"

The pole dance on stage just ended, and bursts of cheers came. This was Sarah's last dance.

The host appeared on the stage, "Everyone knows the rules here. Without further ado, let's start bidding."

There was an unconventional rule in Dance - dancers who dance on the stage will automatically participate in the bidding after the dance. The price can buy a dancer a glass of wine, or a dancer's body.

After the money is given to the dancer, the dancer nods in agreement and the bidder can take the person away. It's easy to say that you don't want to because the night is thick. It's that simple and crude.

Of course, there are very few who are unwilling. After all, no innocent girl from any family would come here to dance, and no one would come here just for money.

She just didn't know what Sarah was planning.

Mark's cold and irritable voice penetrated the entire audience from the microphone, "One million, is it enough?!"

For Mark, one million just disappeared and was not worth mentioning, but here...it was considered a sky-high price.

Even if you want to sleep, the woman on the stage was not worth a million. Everyone looked at the enemy, and the atmosphere was subtly stagnant.

The most unprovoked person in this city was the Mark. Who doesn't recognize his face, but also knows about his love story with the eldest lady of the family. For a time, all kinds of comments were heard around him.

Isla felt that he was even stranger when he saw how out of control he was. He had always been calm in dealing with things and even treated their feelings very calmly, but he was extremely out of control with another woman, which made her scratch her heart.

When he shouted out the price, no one dared to follow the shouting even if they didn't want their lives, they all shrank their heads and acted like a tortoise.

There was no need to offend him for a woman, who can't understand? Only Mr. Mark could not figure it out in the audience. It was guaranteed to become the number one entertainment headline in News tomorrow.

Looking at the good show came from all directions. Isla felt that the air around her suddenly became dull, and her heart became blocked.

Mark's gaze shifted, and Isla noticed that his eyes dodged for a moment, but then disappeared quickly. The bidding ended and Sarah had already gone to the backstage.

Mark's eyes were condescending and disapproving, "Isla, why are you here? This is not the place you should be."

Mark's eyes were heavy and full of warning, "Isla, you go back first."

Isla raised her eyebrows and smiled lightly, the smile on her face was bright and clear, "Mark, you can't let go of your ex, and you still have to worry about your fiancée. Are you tired?"

She asked this question as if she didn't need his answer, and said to herself, "Actually, I feel tired just looking at you."

Mark's pupils narrowed and said, "Isla."

Isla looked at him through the light, and their eyes were not real. "You just spent a lot of money on Sarah. She belongs to you tonight, right? Why, are you going to ruin our engagement and be with her?"

Mark never thought about regretting his engagement. Isla was still his best choice. He promised, "No, Isla, I just..."

Isla only smiled, but there was no warmth in her eyes, "Just what?"
