Zarek stepped outside and found himself in the small food stand. The warm glow of the fire cast soft shadows on the walls, and the comforting aroma of freshly prepared noodles filled the air. Before him, Mr. Han worked diligently, preparing food for his customers.
Mr. Han glanced sideways and noticed Zarek standing there, looking unsure but awake. "Oh, you're awake," Mr. Han said warmly. He poured a steaming bowl of noodles and knelt to Zarek's height, raising the bowl gently toward him. The steam curled up into the cool air, carrying the delicious scent.
Zarek stood in silence, hesitating to take the bowl. His small hands trembled slightly, unsure of how to react. But his stomach growled loudly, betraying his hunger.
"Go ahead, kid," Mr. Han said with a kind smile, his eyes full of warmth.
