"I would still like to take this test as soon as possible. I do not want to go back empty-handed."
Layla stepped forward and offered herself as the first to take this test.
Her confidence staggered the professor, and he did not know what else to do but stare at her with a dumb-founded expression.
"A-Are you sure about it? This test will be strange and tough for someone your age and level. You should retake it with the rest of the class once I reschedule it."
The professor tried to explain things to Layla in a way he thought she would understand. He was calm and patient with her, but it became painfully obvious that he was babying her.
But Layla remained calm and faced the professor's heads with a similar look of calmness.
"I would still like to take this test. In return, if I win, I want to skip a grade and get a recommendation to the academy when it is time."
Layla asked without a hint of hesitation in her eyes.
