"Young Miss, I know you want us to make a good impression on these people, but would you mind if I have a go at them? For some reason, I feel ticked off after what happened."
Mary's temper looked like it was about to break, and she would go on a rampage.
Mary had sometimes lost her temper, but it had never been this bad…usually.
But right now, Mary was clenching her fists, and she looked ready to take down the door with the axe she was gripping in her hands.
"Let it go. I don't want to create any drama. Besides, the door does not have a lock. We can just twist the handle and enter it."
Layla pointed this out before she twisted the handle on the door, which swung open. She had noticed this detail when she had seen the man close the door behind him—there had been no sound of the door being locked.
*Sigh*
