Basically, I told Kyoko everything I know about Homura, Madoka, the true nature of soul gems, and the loops. She was a bit skeptical and slightly afraid after hearing it the first time. But she's quick accepting it and doesn't let it bother her that much.
Right now we're sitting on a hospital roof. We're fully garbed in our magical girl uniform and ready to tackle this next one. "Alright, just how powerful is this witch anyway?" Kyoko asked.
"Pretty darn powerful, I mean, it killed Mami in the other timelines," I replied while staring at the grief seed sticking out of a wall in the ground floor of the hospital. "But now..." I looked back and saw Homura just standing there like she's been there since the beginning. "We're ready..."
Homura vanished from existence and we watched as Sayaka and Madoka appeared from the hospital lobby. "Okay, there they are..." I muttered to myself. "Kyoko, I need you to go in the moment the labyrinth opens okay?"
"Yeah, yeah, anything else?" she said while brandishing her spear.
"Get to know Sayaka better," I told her. "Apologize, talk, chat, and stuff like that."
Kyoko rolled her eyes and watched as Madoka start running to go find me or Mami. A few minutes after that, the labyrinth opened and Sayaka stepped into it. "Okay, Kyoko, you're up!" The red haired girl vanished with a blur and into the the labyrinth.
After about ten agonizing minutes, Mami ran in with Madoka. They immediately entered the labyrinth and I take it as a cue for me to enter it.
Checkered floors, dandelion monsters, flying candies, and all sorts of weirdness welcomed me the second I entered the labyrinth. Near the entrance however, I saw Homura being suspended in midair by dozens of blood red ribbons.
"Hi Homura chan! Need any help?" I asked while brandishing my plasma blade. "I take it, the diplomatic approach didn't go so well?" I sliced off the strands around her and she landed on the floor below her.
"Believe me, I tried," Homura replied. "Madoka did convinced her that I'm here to help, so I don't think she'll strangle me again on sight," she added.
I nodded a little and the two of us ventured deeper into the labyrinth. All sorts off abominations surrounded us from all sides. I decided to be the one exterminating the pests so that Homura can save her strength for the final boss.
"Haios, come in Haios," Kyoko's voice suddenly appeared on my head. "Something just happened," she said, this time with a hint of nervousness in her tone.
"What is it?" I asked her. "You found the witch?"
"No, Sayaka and I gets into an argument and she..." there was a moment of silence and I feared the worst. "She made a magical girl contract."
I face-palmed right then and there. "What part of apologizing to her did you not get?"
"Shut up! She was being stupid!" Kyoko exclaimed. "Besides, it's not like this hasn't happened before."
"What did she wish for?"
"For some dude to regain control of his arms," Kyoko replied.
"Goddammit! Fine, plan C, don't let Mami die. Okay? Do not let Mami die, keep her alive at all costs," I told her.
"Yeah, yeah, I'll just kill the witch myself if I have to," she replied.
I clicked my tongue and looked at Homura. Now I have to go with plan C. "Homura, Operation Make a Wish." I told her.
Homura flickered a little and explosions appeared all around us, destroying every single creep in the area. "Just don't screw up," she told me before vanishing from existence.
I turned around and start flying out of the labyrinth. Any creep that tried to stop me were either sliced to bits or burned to crisp. I have no time to waste and I really hope that he's still sleeping right now.
I tapped on the beautiful hospital window, fully garbed in my magical girl attire. Behind the window is a young blue haired man sleeping peacefully on the hospital bed. His arms were bandaged and a box of cassette could be seen piling up beside him.
"Homura, what's the status?"
"All surveillance system offline," Homura replied and I don't even want to know what happened to those poor security guards.
"Show time," I muttered to myself before flying through the hospital window. I then used my plasma sabers to light up the entire room. I also brightened some of my ninja stars and make them revolve around me.
Finally, I floated right in front of Kyousuke's bed with sparkling ninja stars and bright beacons of light shining around me. "Rise, young man!" I exclaimed making him snap his eyes open in surprise.
"Wh-what?" was the first word that came out of his mouth.
"Fear not! For I have arrived!" I exclaimed while slowly setting myself down at the foot of his bed. "I am Haios, the messenger of the Holy Defenders of Earth, the Magical Girls!" I made my plasma sabers flash a little for the flair.
Kyousuke seemed to have accepted that this is all just a very lucid dream and dropped back on the bed. "What does the Holy Defenders of Earth have to do with me?" he asked with slight amusement in his voice.
"To cure you from..." I sighed a little when I realized that Kyousuke isn't even remotely in awe. "You know what, screw the theatrics, let's talk," I landed back down and sat down on a chair beside his bed. "Hi, I'm Haios."
"I'm Kyousuke, nice to meet you," he said. "And I think you did pretty well with the theatrics."
"You were giggling," I told him. "By the way, your arm's healed," I added. "You know what this means right?"
Kyousuke's expression turned solemn all of a sudden. "This means I'm dead right?" he asked.
"No, it means you're cured," I told him. "I mean, I wasn't lying when I'm one of the many holy defenders of earth," I added. "There exists forces beyond understanding that threatens your world and it's our job to save your respective hindquarters."
The boy looked at his arms in slight confusion. "Wait... This is a dream right?"
"Count your fingers, how many you got?"
"Ten?"
"Then no, you're not dreaming, this is real life and for the love of anything that's holy. Please stay calm because I don't know how long Homura can handle the guards without accidentally shooting anyone in the head," I told him.
Kyousuke looked at me like I'm some sort of a mad girl. "Excuse me? Shoot someone in the head?"
"Homura's a little bit trigger happy. You know how time loops can mess with your head," I told him. "Now, let's talk more about how you get cured."
The guy took a look at his hands and start moving them in slight disbelief. "Yes, let's talk, how did you do that?"
"Magical Girls are extremely powerful creatures born from a pure maiden wish. We can get any wish at the cost of becoming a magical girl and bound to a contract to kill our counterparts, the witches."
"This sounds suspiciously like a movie plot."
I rolled my eyes a little. "Look, the point is, your arm is cured because a girl wish for it and become a magical girl. No, it's not me, it's someone you know very well and love you very much, can you guess who?"
Kyousuke looked down in deep thought and was about to answer when I cut him off. "By the way, if you answer this wrong, I'll break your leg you dense, ungrateful bastard," I told him with a bunch of ninja stars glimmering around him.
"Is it..." he closed his eyes a little. "Someone who loves me? Who?"
"Take a guess, she's usually sitting right here. Accompanying you and wishing you well every day, cheering you up with music and..." I rolled my eyes a little. "I spell it out to you while breaking your femur, how about it?"
Kyousuke's eyes flashed in realization as if he suddenly realized something stupidly important. "Sayaka! It's Sayaka isn't it?"
"Yes! That's the girl! That's the girl who sold her soul to protect mankind just to cure you!" I exclaimed.
Kyousuke looked back at his hands and I can see some tears welling up on his eyes. "I don't know what to say... When she told me she'll figure out a way to..." he looked at me for a moment. "Where is she right now?"
"Fighting some monsters downstairs," I told him. "But you see, at a glance, her wish seems to be extremely selfless, wishing a cure for someone she loves. Right?"
"Yes, it's very selfless of her."
"Unfortunately, that's not a wish from her heart. Her true wish is actually that of any ordinary hormone fueled teenage girls and that is..." I let the question hang for him to follow.
Kyousuke blinked owlishly for a moment. "What?"
"She wants the D, real bad," I paused a second, realizing what just came out of my flappers. "I mean, she really in love with you Kyousuke, she's hoping that by getting you out of this hospital you will love her. Bad logic, I know."
"I see..." the guy looked away from me for a moment. "I... I don't have any feelings for her.." he muttered. "I owe her my life, but I don't have that strong of a feeling with her..."
I nodded understandingly. "You're a boy, it's in your genes to be as dense as industrial grade tungsten," I told him. "But you have to understand, Sayaka might have the power to level an entire army, but she's still extremely emotionally vulnerable. So I'm begging you, please!"
I grabbed his shoulder and looked at him dead in the eyes. "When you get out of this bed, when you go back to school, I want you to grab Sayaka, pull her into the nearest bushes, and fu, I mean, ask her out for a date. Okay?"
Kyousuke nodded a little. "It's the least I can do for her. She's a kind girl, I don't mind having her as my..." he averted his gaze for a moment. "Well, I will fall for her once we hang out more."
I smiled victoriously after hearing that. "That's great!" I exclaimed. "One less death for the win!"
"Death? What?" Kyousuke asked warily.
I looked at him for a moment and smirked. "Magical Girls are a creature of hope, love, and compassion. Nothing kills love faster than heartbreak," I told him. "Yes, you were that close from killing your savior. Have a nice day!"
I spread my wings and flew out of the hospital, leaving an extremely bewildered Kyousuke and who knows how many unconscious guards in my wake.
