Zina's POV
Jared's lips were still on my mind, even as the room around me seemed to blur into nothingness. The kiss wasn't just a kiss—it was an earthquake, a thunderstorm, something I had no idea how to prepare for. My heart was still racing, and my lips tingled like they'd been permanently marked by him.
I looked up at Jared, who was staring at me like I was the only person in the room. His golden eyes were softer now, filled with something I couldn't quite name. "You okay?" he asked, his voice quieter than I'd ever heard it.
I nodded, swallowing hard. "I… I think so."
But I wasn't sure. How could I be? The kiss had stirred something deep inside me, something I didn't even know existed. And now I wanted more.
I didn't realize I was leaning in again until Jared smirked. "Round two already?" he teased, his voice laced with amusement.
