I felt like I was going to snap in half. My fists were clenched so tight, I could feel my nails digging into my palms. My whole body was shaking, not with fear, but with something much darker. Anger. Rage. I didn't even know if I could keep it together anymore.
The hospital room felt suffocating—too bright, too white. The smell of antiseptic burned my nose. I hated this place, hated everything about it. But nothing was worse than seeing him.
