New people began to emerge each day, including Raven, a vampire hunter from a remote village. Ever since he was a child, Raven aspired to become a vampire hunter because vampires had constantly terrorized his village, killing its inhabitants. The vampires didn't stop at murder—they also destroyed the entire village. When Raven was still a child, he was protected by Ivy Lancaster.
Ivy was also a resident of the village, and her family had been slaughtered by the same vampires who killed many of the villagers. However, Ivy no longer feared vampires. She had become highly skilled in combat, her experiences forging her into a formidable warrior.
In the past, Ivy faced three noble vampires in battle. Two of them were men who served as loyal bodyguards to the vampire woman, Selene Bloodrose. Selene possessed a unique ability to store her two male guards within a sphere of light, allowing her to summon them whenever she wished.
Their encounter took place on the outskirts of the village. Ivy stood tall, determined to protect her home with every ounce of strength she had. "What do you want from this place?" Ivy demanded, her voice sharp.
Selene, arrogant and brimming with confidence, responded in a calm tone, "We only seek blood to consume. We can also break people's bones into dust, drain their blood until they die, and use magic to further our power."
Selene elaborated on the nature of vampires. They consumed blood to increase their strength. "We vampires are eternal. We don't age, we don't feel pain, even if our heads are destroyed, we regenerate from mortal wounds. We can control minds, change our form into anything, and as a noble vampire, I am immune to any form of light."
Hearing this, Ivy remained unfazed. She wasn't afraid; instead, she threatened the vampires, warning them to never return to the village again. However, Selene and her guards laughed, mocking Ivy's threats.
Suddenly, Ivy unleashed a powerful wave of sound, creating a devastating shockwave. The vampires were immediately overwhelmed by the force of the continuous wind that bombarded them. Though they tried to fight back, their situation worsened. Ivy's power spread across a vast area, covering a radius of 10 kilometers. As the vampires attempted to flee, they were struck by fierce lightning, torrents of water, and boulders moving faster than sound.
Desperate, the vampires were forced to use a powerful magical portal to escape. They believed that entering the portal would grant them safety. However, inside the portal, they encountered another threat: enormous trees and wild animals began attacking them mercilessly.
Selene, left with no choice, summoned her two servants and commanded them to create a protective barrier. With great effort, they managed to shield Selene from the attacks. After emerging from the portal and reaching their kingdom, Selene spoke with a voice filled with malice, "Just wait, Ivy. I will destroy you until you are powerless and dead."
Meanwhile, Raven, now grown, wandered through the ruins of the village. "How could a village like this be destroyed? Ivy protected it... Where did she go?" he muttered to himself, confused and frustrated.
Raven could feel something was terribly wrong. The village that should have been secure under Ivy's protection was now in ruins. With no clear answers, Raven resolved to search for the truth among the rubble. He was determined to find Ivy and understand what had transpired.
Elsewhere, two slimes named Noxifer and Luxtheron sensed that a new threat loomed. Noxifer, always cautious, spoke with worry in his voice, "It seems we are no longer a match for them. We now appear weak compared to the many others emerging with incredible power. There are those who can distort time and others who control nature itself. It's only a matter of time before we're defeated."
Luxtheron, typically calm, nodded in agreement. "What you say is true," he replied. "We've lived for so long in this world, a world filled with questions and dangers. Now, we are no longer the strongest."
Both slimes were anxious about the changes happening around them. The appearance of new, powerful individuals left them feeling small and powerless. They knew that a greater threat was on the horizon, and they needed to be prepared for whatever came next.
This story is far from over. A larger danger awaits them all in the future. Whether it be Raven, Ivy, or Noxifer and Luxtheron, they will all face new forces that will determine their fate.
