As I rushed home, I remembered that my mom and dad must be at the restaurant since it was already 2 PM. When I arrived, I told them about my day off and my plan to spend time with them. This made them quite happy, so Dad decided to close the restaurant a few hours early. I volunteered to help them until closing time.
After we closed the restaurant, they asked me where I wanted to go. I thought for a moment and realized that since coming to this world, I had been so focused on growing stronger that I had never even been to Ichiraku Ramen. I excitedly shared my plan with them. I didn't have to pretend I had heard the name before; during those four years, I had heard my friends rave about how good Ichiraku Ramen is, and I even knew about the prices.
So, we all decided to go there. It was a simple shop, and people were sitting around enjoying their food. Some were chatting among themselves, while others were talking to the ramen guy. I couldn't recall his name, as it was barely mentioned in the anime, but I held deep respect for that man. The atmosphere of the shop was very friendly, and we waited for a few minutes until a seat for three opened up.
After we sat down, I looked at the menu. The prices were fair for a ramen shop—not too high and not too cheap. A single bowl started at 150 ryo for a plain miso soup ramen, while the most expensive option was the Chashu pork ramen, priced at 500 ryo. Since it was a rare treat for us, we decided to order the Chashu pork bowl for 500 ryo.
We chatted among ourselves while we waited for our order to be prepared. Teuchi became busy as he worked on our ramen, and when I heard a customer calling him, I finally knew his name. After a few minutes, he served us bowls of ramen that looked incredibly delicious. Just by looking at them, I could tell they would taste amazing, and the fragrance that wafted from the bowls was impossible to resist. Thankfully, I had no reason to resist, and we all dug in. Man, it was delicious—just delicious!
As we ate, we made small talk with Teuchi. He was really friendly and asked about my first time at the shop. He mentioned that he knew both my mom and dad, as they must have eaten there sometime before. I told him about myself and shared some light, non-important topics.
After finishing our meal, we returned home, and I rested for the remainder of the day before going to sleep.
