Chapter 8 - Ch 8

Su Lingqing was in so much pain that it felt like she had been hit in the chest by a gorilla.

They were originally attending the MEDICA International Medical Equipment Exhibition in Dusseldorf, Germany, and were expected to stay there for seven days, but Fu Yingcheng finished arranging things and returned to Beiwan alone without saying a word.

Taking off at three in the morning, it takes thirteen hours one way, stays for four hours, and then flies back for another thirteen hours... The journey is comparable to that of a special soldier.

Su Lingqing couldn't figure it out.

What's the big deal that requires such a trip?

"There are some... emergencies," Fu Yingcheng said calmly, "I can't go there tomorrow."

"What?" Su Lingqing was shocked, "Rescheduled? No one notified me?!" "

  It was just decided.

"When will you actually change your plan...wait a minute," the person on the other side suddenly became serious, "could something happen to the old man?" He

also knew a little about Fu Yingcheng's family situation. His mother had not been with him for many years. Back and forth, my father is still in prison.

The only person who can make him care about him, after thinking about it, is the grandma who raised him.

"The old man is very good, what are you thinking about?" Fu Yingcheng frowned.

"Don't scare me, that's because you have..."

Fu Yingcheng said, "It's okay. I died."

"Why did you die? You haven't said what happened?"

Fu Yingcheng paused, but someone else spoke. One thing: "Do you know the person at the household registration office? I may need to apply for an ID card and household registration for him."

"I can't think of it at the moment, but there should be some,"

the playboy Su Lingqing lacks most is friends: "Why, Can't do it through regular channels? What's going on? "

She's a seventeen-year-old girl. She has no property." Su Lingqing couldn't help but raise her voice: "Fu Yingcheng, don't you?

  "

Are you going to fly back to illegally smuggle people in?"

  *

Fu Yingcheng hung up the phone and stayed in the study for a while, then slowly got up, sorted out his expression, and walked back to the restaurant.

The dining table was empty and spotlessly clean.

The girl slumped at the table with her belly bulging out.

"Have you finished eating?" Fu Yingcheng saw that all the pots, ladles, dishes and chopsticks had been washed and stacked neatly on the kitchen counter.

Ji Fanling glanced at him with resentment and said "hiccups".

  Fu Yingcheng: "..."

"Next time, you should cook less," Ji Fanling made a small circle with his index finger and thumb, "You can eat this much alone."

"If there hadn't been someone else today, I'm here, and all your pot noodles are wasted."

"I asked you to help me."

Fu Yingcheng thought of something, and said with a hint of displeasure, "I didn't ask you to risk your life to help me.

" There's nothing I can do about it. I'm such a helpful person."

Ji Fanling held her stomach and stood up with difficulty. "No more, I have to go and lie down... It just so happens that I don't have to eat tomorrow."

The girl said . After walking away in ill-fitting slippers, Fu Yingcheng walked into the kitchen, scrubbed the countertops, cleaned the ingredients, and organized the cupboards... It wasn't anything urgent, but he had a headache now and his mind was very messy. Only cleaning would make him feel better. He calmed down a little.

The sound of the slippers prolonging and coming back again and again, until it stopped close behind.

The girl's voice was slow and she called "Fu Yingcheng".

Fu Yingcheng stood by the pool and poured boiling water into the cold kettle.

Hearing the sound, he paused and his voice was a bit mocking: "Why, you are so strong?"

"No, I just suddenly thought, what did you want to do with me that night ten years ago today?"

Ji Fanling added: "You asked Zhou Sui Tell me, meet on the rooftop at seven o'clock."

"As you know, I didn't make it," the girl scratched her nose and spoke softly.

  "...I'm sorry."

A handful of boiling water suddenly splashed out, and it was hot and fell on the man's mouth.

Fu Yingcheng remained motionless, as if he didn't feel anything.

He lowered his eyes slowly, casting dark shadows on his eyelids.

  "How long ago."

After a while, Fu Yingcheng said in a calm voice without looking back.

"——I don't remember it for a long time."

  Chapter 04 False Alarm

It's six o'clock in the morning.

The clearer and tinier sounds of birds came from the window.

As soon as the alarm rang, it was turned off by a big cold white hand. Fu Yingcheng had a very stable schedule. No matter what time he went to bed at night or whether he was asleep or not, he would get up on time at six o'clock.

At this point, Ji Fanling was obviously still sleeping.

Perhaps because I was embarrassed to treat myself as a guest, the second bedroom was left open last night.

  Fu Yingcheng stopped.

Looking in from the outside of the room, the 1.8 meter big bed was more than enough to sleep two people, but the girl was only curled up in a corner of the bed.

The morning light was faint, and the gauzy golden sunlight penetrated through the gaps in the curtains, peacefully hugging the small bulge under the quilt.

It rises and falls with the frequency of breathing.

It's so real that even the black hair spread out on the pillow is revealed.

  ...

but at the same time, it is extremely illusory.

It was as if reality and dreams were pieced together in a stiff way, with rooms that were taken for granted and people that shouldn't exist.

Fu Yingcheng stared at it for a while, then silently closed the door for her.

  *

In another corner of the city, the thin morning sunlight filled a private clinic.

Yang Mingzhe quickly parked the car, walked through the corridor, and walked into the consultation room. He hung his coat on the hanger and found the interview record with the name of the patient "Fu Yingcheng" from the cabinet. He sat at the table and read through it. Again.

He was always a person who was always in a hurry, took the medicine and left, but today he actually made an urgent appointment to meet with him.

  ——It's really abnormal.

At seven o'clock sharp, the door of the consultation room was pushed open.

The man had a handsome face, tall and long legs, and was wearing a dark woolen coat. He approached quickly. He had a cold temperament, dark eyebrows, and a slight cyan shadow under his eyes.
