The battle with the golem behind them, Ryan, Seraphina, and Scarlet began their journey back to Duskveil territory after finding their knights. The air felt lighter now, the tension from the dungeon lifting as they traveled through the countryside. The sun was setting, casting a warm golden hue over the rolling hills, and for the first time in days, there was a sense of peace.
Ryan rode at the front of the small caravan, the rhythmic sound of horse hooves creating a calming backdrop. Seraphina rode beside him, while Scarlet sat just behind, her red hair catching the soft light.
"It's nice to be out of that dungeon," Seraphina said, breaking the comfortable silence. She stretched her arms, smiling. "I'd forgotten what fresh air felt like."
Ryan chuckled. "Yeah, I have to agree with you there. That place was suffocating. But we did it. We got through."
Scarlet, quiet for a while, nodded. "We worked well together, didn't we? I've never fought anything like that before… especially not something like a golem."
Ryan glanced over his shoulder at Scarlet, noticing her thoughtful expression. "You handled it well, though. I could see how focused you were. Those flames of yours did some serious damage."
Scarlet blushed slightly at the compliment. "Thanks, but I couldn't have done it without you both."
Seraphina smiled, her eyes twinkling. "We all played our part. But it was definitely Ryan who saved us in the end. That gravity manipulation of yours… I'm still amazed at how fast you moved."
Ryan waved off the praise with a modest grin. "Just doing my part. We had to bring that thing down somehow."
For a while, they rode in silence again, the peacefulness of the open road relaxing them after the chaos of the dungeon. The path ahead was clear, the trees gently swaying in the breeze, and Ryan felt a deep sense of satisfaction. They had come out stronger, and the treasure they'd secured would help further strengthen Duskveil.

As they rounded a bend in the road, the sound of approaching horses caught Ryan's attention. He signaled for the others to slow down. Within moments, a familiar sight came into view—Crown Prince Leo and Vivienne, accompanied by their guards, riding toward them.
Ryan raised an eyebrow in surprise. "Leo? Vivienne?"
Leo spotted them first, a broad grin spreading across his face as he waved. "Ryan! There you are."
As they neared, Leo dismounted his horse with ease, Vivienne following behind with her usual calm demeanor.
"Well, if it isn't Duskveil's rising star," Leo teased, clasping Ryan's arm in greeting. "I take it you've been busy with that dungeon."
Ryan smiled and returned the handshake. "Yeah, it was… quite the experience."
Vivienne stepped forward, her sharp eyes scanning the group. "We were wondering if you'd managed to make it through. The dungeon isn't easy to handle."
Ryan chuckled. "Not without a few close calls, but we managed."
Seraphina nodded. "It was tough, but we worked together to get through it. The golem guarding the core was especially difficult."
Scarlet, still a bit shy around the prince and Vivienne, offered a polite nod. "Ryan's leadership helped a lot."
Leo's eyes lit up with curiosity. "So, did you find anything interesting in there? I'm still kicking myself for not being able to go with you."
Vivienne added, "The rumors say there are rare treasures hidden in those kinds of dungeons."
Ryan kept his face neutral, thinking of the cheat item he'd taken for himself. "We found some useful things, yes. Enough to make the trip worthwhile."
Leo raised an eyebrow. "Useful things, huh? Sounds like you're keeping something to yourself."
Ryan grinned, though he didn't elaborate. "Let's just say we'll be well-prepared for whatever comes next."
Vivienne's sharp gaze lingered on Ryan for a moment, as though she was analyzing his words. "I see. Well, you're right to be cautious. A dungeon like that one could hold secrets not meant for everyone."
Leo, always eager for more information, leaned in slightly. "So, what was the toughest part? The monsters? The traps?"
Ryan exchanged a glance with Seraphina and Scarlet before answering. "The golem was the real challenge. It took everything we had to bring it down."
Seraphina nodded in agreement. "Ryan's gravity manipulation was crucial. Without that, I'm not sure we would've made it."
Scarlet smiled faintly. "It was a team effort. We all had our roles."
Leo grinned. "Sounds like I missed out on quite the adventure. Maybe next time, huh?"
Ryan nodded. "Maybe. But for now, I think we've earned a bit of rest."

As the conversation continued, the sun dipped lower on the horizon, casting long shadows over the path. The peaceful atmosphere made the entire situation feel surreal—after such an intense dungeon battle, now they were back in familiar company, talking casually as if nothing had happened.
Scarlet, still quietly observing, finally spoke up. "What about you two? What brings you out here?"
Leo exchanged a quick glance with Vivienne before answering. "We've been handling some diplomatic matters. Nothing too exciting, but necessary work. It's good to get out of the capital once in a while."
Vivienne's voice was cool and composed as always. "We were on our way back from a meeting with some nobles in the southern regions. A few discussions about trade routes and potential alliances."
Ryan raised an eyebrow. "And how's that going?"
"Slow but steady," Leo replied, a touch of impatience in his voice. "You know how it is with politics. A lot of talking, not enough action."
Vivienne nodded in agreement. "It takes time to build trust, especially when dealing with territories that have been isolated for so long."
Ryan smiled slightly. "I'm sure you'll manage. You've always had a way with people, Leo."
Leo grinned. "I do my best."
---
After chatting for a while longer, the two groups parted ways. Leo and Vivienne rode ahead, their guards following closely behind. Ryan, Seraphina, and Scarlet resumed their journey back to Duskveil, the peaceful rhythm of the road once again settling over them.
As they rode, Ryan couldn't help but feel a sense of accomplishment. The dungeon had been tough, but they had made it through, and the treasures they'd gained would be a huge boost to Duskveil's future. And with allies like Seraphina, Scarlet, and even Leo and Vivienne, Ryan knew he was building something strong.
"Not a bad day," Ryan said quietly, more to himself than anyone else.
Seraphina smiled. "No, not bad at all."
Scarlet glanced up at the sky, her expression calm. "I wonder what's next."
Ryan chuckled. "Whatever it is, we'll be ready."
The three of them continued their journey as the last light of day faded, the road ahead leading them back to Duskveil and whatever challenges awaited them next.
