The warehouse was massive, filled with shadows that seemed to have a life of their own. The air was thick with dust and the smell of old wood. As they moved deeper into the heart of the building, Noor's unease grew. What was Zayd about to show her? What could be so important that he had to bring her here?
Zayd stopped in front of a large metal door. "This is it," he said, his voice quiet but firm. He turned to Noor, his eyes searching her face for any sign of doubt. "Once we go in, there's no turning back. Are you sure you want to see this?"
Noor hesitated, then nodded. She had come this far, and she wasn't about to back out now.
Zayd opened the door, and they stepped inside.
The room was filled with maps, papers, and files—documents that seemed to hold the weight of the world. There were photographs on the walls, some of which looked too familiar. Noor's breath caught in her throat as she recognized faces she had seen before, faces that seemed to belong to a world she had never truly known.
"This," Zayd said, his voice heavy with emotion, "is my family's legacy. The things we've done, the secrets we've kept... it's all here. Everything."
Noor's mind raced as she took in the sight of the room. It was as though a veil had been lifted, and the truth—dark and terrifying—was now laid out before her. This was Zayd's world, and it was more dangerous than she could have ever imagined.
