Laston and lynx entered one of the stores and asked for a map of the city, after the store assistant heard their request.
"That will cost you fifty silver coins only" she said with a polite smile.
Lynx then proceeded to leave the store with a not so happy face, when laston saw this, he frowned,
"We obviously had enough money to buy the map, so why didn't you buy it, lynx then smiled "I know you probably think am being stingy now, but when you get to a tier one city you would understand that map is not that much of a necessity,
I can get all the information I want about this city and it will cost much less so why would I waste our precious coins, after all, this might be the last time, we set foot inside this village.
Laston then nodded understanding his reasoning a little better, lynx then approached a group of kids on the road side and said "which of the stores in this village sales techniques.
All the children behaved as though they were not being talked to.
when lynx saw this, he smiled then said in a low voice, some things never change, do they?
He then proceeded to toss five silver coins at the kids, but none of them responded or reacted to him, seeing this he frowned "you guys can't be serious, he then proceeded to pick his coins and after that he left the scene, heading to another district, but then entered a lonely pathway and continued to walk down then suddenly he halted his movement.
"You can come out now"
A small boy just around the age of 10 came out, "I can take you to all the stores where technique is sold and you will give me five silver coins as promised.
Lynx then smiled and tossed him three silver coins, "you will get the rest after the job is done.
He then proceeded to take them to all the shop that deals on techniques and spiritual scripts, on getting to each of the shop's lynx bought a lot of things which baffled laston greatly, because lynx was relatively stingy when it came to money, but in these various stores, he entered he didn't spend bronze or silver coins instead it was gold coins.
And what surprised him the most was that he had a smile while spending, all the books he bought seemed to have weird patterns running across them and immediately after purchased it was tossed into his storage pouch.
After that they both headed to a weaponry in other to buy weapons, when the shop assistant saw them, he proceeded to show them different weapon, ranging from long range to mid-range to melee weapons,
Lynx then turned to Laston, "which of these do you think you would be able to put to good use.
I like a sword but I will also like something smaller, the shop assistant on hearing their conversation went to get all the locally crafted weapons,
Lynx on seeing this scoffed, "in a store of this caliber, are you looking down on us, he said as he tossed a gold coin into the air and caught it midair with a smile.
When the old man saw this, he smiled, "sorry for not recognizing your presence young master, as this city is situated between lower tier villages, "why don't we go to the back of the store where the real treasures are kept"
Going to the entrance of the store the old man quickly turned the open sign to a close sign, and the group of four descended true a fleet of stairs and got to a pitch-dark room.
On reaching the entrance the old man snaped his fingers and like a ripple effect the underground store lit up.
Going through the store they all had wide eyes as all the weapons emitted a profound aura that made them special at first glance.
Lynx then muttered in a low voice, spiritual treasures, I thought to sell this kind of weaponry one had to have permit signed by the king himself.
"Well, that is true, and I do have that permit" said the old man as he led them to where all the swords were are kept, "when you get older you tend to lose interest on unnecessary things and look at life from a new perspective, so I urge you to come off any suspicion you might have against me" he said as he turned to lynx.
"So now, do you young ones want to explore, or do you want your weapons to be handpicked by me.
Quickly moving from shelf-to-shelf lynx quickly picked a black dagger and did a quick swipe with it, I will be taking this he said with a smile, the old man seeing the dagger in his grasp gave him a suspicious gaze which lynx replying to his gaze tossed the dagger into his storage pouch.
Laston proceeded to look through the shelves but none of them seemed to be to his liking, just as he was about to ask the old man for help a distinct aura caught his attention, but not from the shelve in front of him.
Due to just being new to the term he was actively attentive towards any aura.
The aura seemed to have been emanating from the right side of the store which for some reason was still dark, due to no light being lit there, taking a few steps in that direction, following the distinct aura he approached the dark area then turned to the store assistant, "can you light the place?"
He then said with a smile, "here I was thinking he was a prodigy, I didn't know he was with a monster, a grin could be seen, but the duo was both relaxed as they both couldn't do anything if this old man were to have malicious intension.
With a quick snap of his fingers the light in the right section of the store lit up.
"Young one I will advise you because I see you are very talented, through out my years of operating this store only one in a hundred people find this room on their own.
