It was quite a hot Friday afternoon the outgoing students of Peace College were rehearsing for their lined-up activities they were to perform on the day of their Graduation ceremony. Actually, it wasn't too far anyway. It was just a couple of weeks to go or I did rather say in less than a month. However, everyone else seemed to be quite thrilled and excited about the upcoming scheduled event except for Bridgette who felt like everything about her love story was gradually crumbling into tiny pieces under her very own eyes. Isn't this too much for a young teenage girl of 17 years? she asked herself while holding on to her book it looked like, she was expecting to hear a yes or no from it. While this was going on in her mind Brianna her best friend sighted her from a distance and could tell from the look on her face that she was trying to solve a puzzle and decided to come around and have a talk. I mean what else are best friends for.
Hi bestie, what are you doing here all alone? Aren't you bored being here all by yourself? You didn't come to join the rest at the singing practice so tell me Brianna said.
It's nothing much just trying to get some fresh air. She replied.
Oh really! I doubt this, come on you could be honest with me at least and share what's on your mind you know, am always here to listen. So, I don't ever want you to feel alone in whatever you're facing I have got your back and we have got this so it's okay as they say "a problem shared is a problem solved". Brianna said.
Ok fine I would tell you about it. She replied.
Yh that's more like it, you know you look way prettier when you smile, she said chuckling.
I don't know about that please, Bridgette told her.
Really, whatever I just told now tell me what is going on in your mind to me you seem way lost in thoughts. Brianna said.
Hmm not seem I am. You see Brianna am scared am gonna loose someone very dear to me. She told her.
Who's that? Brianna asked (she seemed curious). To her if Bridgette was worried about losing someone it means she has to be worried as well because she might lose her cheerful friend.
The truth is I miss the old days. Bridgette told her with tears in her eyes.
