"But I have heard that the venatores also possess supernatural powers," I said, and a knowing smile formed on her face.
"True, but no one knows what powers they possess because it has been years since there was a war."
"Why do you need a war to use your powers?" I asked her, sounding confused.
"Because the venatores only use their powers if the werewolf species are threatened or if one of their own is in danger. No one has seen or heard them use their powers to date, so we have no idea what each of them possesses."
"So, is there a possibility that one of the elders could read our minds like you do?"
"Maybe," she said as she shuddered her shoulder and leaned back on her chair as she took a sip from her glass. I raised an eyebrow at her easy-go behavior.
"And why are you not bothered about that?" I asked her as she shook her head.
