The soft blue hue gradually reduced and completely vanished as Isabella fainted in my arms. I was still speechless after what happened in here tonight. Yes, this may be the second time she has created a shield to protect us, but this was the first time I saw her actually do it.
I looked at the ground in front of me to see the branch had split into two with the impact it received from the shield, and even though it would not have killed us, I knew that it would have caused some serious damage. I pulled Isabella closer to me and wrapped my hands under her knees and around her shoulder as I gently lifted her up.
As I walked into the cabin, I locked the door behind me and walked into the only bedroom that this cabin has. As I pushed the door open, I saw that Jacob had also changed the bed sheets in there. I placed Isabella on the bed and removed her shoes before I climbed in next to her.
