Alpha Arlo Bianchi - POV
"And do you think you can find her before dawn?" Jacob asked me as I tossed the car keys in his direction. A smirk appeared on my face at his question.
"We are mates, Jacob. She is the anchor of my ship, I will always find her." I told him when a soft smile formed on his face, and I saw his eyes glisten in the dark as well.
"You are falling for her," Jacob whispered, his voice heavy with sorrow, which made the smile fade away from my face as well.
"Yes," I answered as I looked ahead at the dark forest. Isabella has managed to wriggle her way through the walls that I built around my heart.
"I can't see you like this, Arlo," Jacob said, and this made me frown. "What if it's all too late? How am I ever going to face Isabella again?" he asked me as a tense silence surrounded us. I took slow steps towards him till I stood right in front of him. I placed my right hand over his shoulder and looked him in the eye.
