Isabella Martini - POV
My lungs were gradually losing all the oxygen that was stored when I felt it tighten while my brain wad screaming for me to breathe. But I didn't want to let him go just yet. My hold on his hair tightened when he finally let me go and pulled back while I took in large gulps of air. My chest was rising up and down as I looked up at his eyes. His pupils were dilated, and I saw carnal emotion in it. "This was a mistake," he said in a monotone.
I bit my cheek to prevent my eyes from filling with tears when I heard him say those words. "Then why did you make that mistake?" I asked him as I pushed him away from me. I expected him to fight back and hold me in his arms for a little while longer, but he let me go and stepped back.
"It won't happen again."
