Isabella Bianchi - POV
I was wearing the earrings when I heard a light knock on my door, and I turned around to see Arlo standing in my doorway. He was wearing a three-piece black suit that made him look a little extra handsome today.
"Are you ready?" he asked me, and I nodded my head and looked at myself in the mirror one last time. The black dress hugged me like a glove, accentuating all my curves as the lace pooled near my ankle. The dress was simply beautiful, it was not too revealing, but neither was it too conservative.
After wearing the matching heels, I made my way to Arlo. "Let's go," I said, and I noticed his iris was a little darker than usual. He took a step forward, making our chests almost touch as he moved his face down to my level.
I felt my heart start to accelerate as I felt the tingles shoot up my spine when his warm hands took a firm grip on my waist. "Arlo?" I breathed out, not knowing what was going on. When I felt his hot breath fan my exposed neck, it made me shut my eyes tight while I desperately tried to suppress a moan. Moments later, his lips touched my hot skin, and I felt him place a firm kiss over there before it moved down.
He repeated this action in a few other places in my neck, making my legs turn into jelly while I moved my hands to grab his biceps to prevent myself from falling over. "What are you doing?" I moaned.
"I am," a kiss on my jawline. "Trying to," another kiss on the back of my ear. "Mark you." another kiss on my cheek. "As mine." he finished as his lips lightly touched mine.
It was like a million fireworks exploded as our lips gently moved in sync while I moved forward, closing the little gap that was present. He lightly bit my lower lip, and when I was about to open my mouth to let him explore, he abruptly pulled away, making reality crash on me.
My eyes flew open as I stared at Arlo, who looked controlled despite his dilated pupils while I was a mess. My heartbeat was unstable, and my body felt weak from his touch. "The elders have a powerful sense of smell, and if they smell something odd, they would suspect me," Arlo explained as he withdrew from me.
I almost wanted to pout from the loss of my contact, but I held myself back. "Are they here?" I asked him, and he nodded his head as he gave me his arm.
"We better leave," he said, and I intertwined my arm with him as he led me toward the elevator. As we reached the ground floor, we walked down a hallway towards my left when Arlo came to a stop in front of huge double oak doors that were closed.
"Don't stiffen whenever I kiss you, and always have a smile on your face," he said, and I nodded my head. He motioned for the warriors to open the door.
As he led me inside, I was shocked to see just how many pack members resided in this pack. The ballroom was full, and everyone was looking at us as we walked further towards the left side of the ballroom, where there were three chairs and three wolves wearing white attires.
As we got closer, I realized that they had a beautiful silver swirl pattern on their cheeks which was glowing. "Congratulations on finding your Luna, alpha Bianchi." one of them said as they got up to greet us.
"Thank you, Elder. I am also happy to see you in my pack after a long time." Arlo said in a monotone, and I knew that he was clearly not happy at all.
"It is our duty, Alpha Bianchi. Your pack is the largest pack in the werewolf community, and we should always make sure that it does not fall into despair." one of them commented while Arlo didn't say anything.
"So Luna, which pack are you from?" one of them asked me, and I felt like my heart nearly stopped beating.
How can I tell them that I am from the Blood Moon Pack?
"I…um…I don't remember." I answered, and this made them frown.
"You don't remember?" one of them asked me in suspicion, and I shook my head.
"I was running from rogues when I hit my head on a rock, and I lost all memory of my past," I said with confidence when I saw that they were buying it.
"So your Luna is a rogue?" an elder asked Arlo as he shook his head.
"She was a rogue. But now she is my Luna." Arlo said it without a break in his sentence, which made me even believe his lie.
"Well, we are happy for you once again, Alpha Bianchi. But you know the traditions?" an elder asked, and Arwelcomed his head.
"Yes, and you are welcome to stay at my house for however number of days you want." Arlo said, and they nodded their heads. "If you could excuse us, I would like to show my Luna to the rest of the pack." Arlo said, and then he led me away from them.
The entire night was spent in meet and greet, and so far, everyone in the pack looked delighted to see me. "Looks like you are having a great night." I looked to my right to see Sofia take a seat on the bar stool next to mine, and I nodded my head.
"Well, the night would only get better once I go back home," I told her, and a knowing smile appeared on her face.
"Don't worry, I know Arlo likes you, so everything will be just perfect."
I wish.
"Don't you think the elders are pushing it a bit with Arlo?" I asked Sofia as I took a sip of my cocktail.
"That's because they want to see Arlo fail so that they can kill him." Sofia bluntly said it, which made me turn around to face her.
"What are you talking about?"
