Isabella Martini - POV
On our way back to the motel, Sophia stopped by the grocery store and bought a carton of milk before we proceeded back to the motel. As we parked the car, I realized that there was another vehicle on the premises that was parked at the very end. A frown formed on my face as we got out of the vehicle and walked inside the motel.
"Where is she?" Sophia whispered while I shrugged my shoulder. We were about to head upstairs when we saw a door at the far left of the room that was slightly ajar. Soft yellow light was streaming in throughout the gap while we heard murmurs inside as well.
For a human ear, it would have been impossible to detect, but due to our sensitive hearing, we heard everything. "Boss promised that he would keep you safe." a male voice insisted.
"I am not going to stay in your mercy."
"But boss insisted that…"
"I have helped you enough, and now you will have to take care of your issues."
