The door pushed open and the girl laying on the bed didn't turn or look at the young woman that entered carrying a tray of food. Snow sighed and placed the tray on the table, carrying it close to the bed.
"Rylee, hey, it's time to eat."
Rylee didn't move, didn't flinch, didn't blink and didn't make a sound. Snow sat beside her on the bed, she touched her shoulders with a sigh.
"Sweetheart, I understand what you are going through but that doesn't mean you should starve yourself. It's been two months, Rylee, don't you think it's time you come out of your shell? If not for anybody but for the little one growing in your stomach?"
"No one knows what I am going through, so don't tell me you do," Rylee said.
Snow shrugged. "Well, I didn't lose a mate, no doubt, but I lost a man like a father and as much as it would annoy you, my first love." She chuckled sadly when the girl granted her a look finally.
