Chapter 49 - 48. Level 10

Well I think after this I can have a rest, right?

Wrong!!

As soon as I chose the buffs I would add, another villager appeared from the northernmost village. Fortunately this didn't trigger a new mission out of nowhere (yes I know I already said how boring things were before, but if you put several things one after the other it also gets boring and hard to follow) and so far things have been calm, except for the the fact that now I can see this so-called village.

By scrolling twice on the screen you can get to it and from what the image suggests it is only a matter of time before an aid mission appears. The village was badly damaged, especially on the east side, with several houses burned or demolished, as well as several sections of rubble in the streets.

Having already imagined the next mission, I sent a message to my "oracle" in the village to gather additional wood, something they were already doing to repair their own houses, in addition to building additional houses for the refugees. Some apparently decided to stay in the village, thanks to the 20 people who had a spiritual session in the middle of public square.

There are several cool points about having an oracle, one of which is that now I can have a little more control over the decisions that NPCs make in the game, effective control. Even though I can only send one oracle per day in the game, that is every twenty minutes at the maximum speed of time in the real world.

For now, as nothing is happening I left it at that speed, but from time to time I put it at the same speed as the world, to better see how the villagers behave after having survived the attack. I only considered that the "event" had only ended after all the goblin bodies had been cleaned, until now I don't understand why their bodies didn't just disappear after so long, I can't remember any game that did that.

Another cool point is that now I can also have a better idea of what the villagers need instead of just making guesses based on emojis, even though Hannah can't send complete sentences just a few scattered words, but it's already (a little) better than the emojis. Furthermore, I can also request specific things that yield more sacrifice coins, which is not very easy since I can only send 5 words directly when they are typed, but strangely when I put them on the microphone I can send up to 7. Why is that?

My theory is that the company is using a gradual improvement technique with a central AI that evolves as you play, that was the best explanation I came up with, not the only one but the others were a bit... very out of the box.

Anyway, it's been almost 9 days since the goblin attack, which means that I've been playing nonstop for more than 3 hours, probably more than 4 counting the preparations for the fight and the moments in which I put in the same amount of time to give some breaks. Ufff, spending so much time staring at your cell phone screen isn't good at all, I'm not surprised it's already dark outside, I'm going to set the time the same and end this game section here. Making dinner and getting ready for tomorrow, it looks like it's going to be a very tumultuous day.

*************************

3 days

I barely had time to use my cell phone for 3 days, what is the problem people have with the beginning of the year, the end of last year was tumultuous enough but so was the beginning.

Aaaahhhhh....

Well, at least he was happy that we didn't have to deal with very difficult customers, or drunks on the street who think they own the place like last year (I even had to go to the police station because of one of those). And I'm also happy that nothing happened to the villagers while I was away.

Now let's see how things are.

....

Okay, we have some changes.

I know that the game is made in a magical world, with great spells and such, in addition to being a game itself, albeit with an AI-based operating mechanism that is much more complex than it should be (at least I think). But above all, it's still a game that closely mirrors reality, no resource is ready without waiting for the necessary processing time, it's not just cutting the wood that already has boards to make houses, it's not just killing an animal and that's it. there's food for everyone, and obviously you don't just kill a monster and the body disappears after a while.

That's why the construction of houses, etc., follows the same logic, only being able to speed up time to be able to skip the more boring parts of construction, but still be able to keep an eye on it in case something happens.

And thanks to that, I got into the habit of associating the game much more with reality than it should, but building several houses and a temple in the middle of the square in 3 days (remembering that I turned off time acceleration), it's certainly not something that can be done. You can even do it with magic... or can you?!

No, actually it's not that surprising, but until now there was no one who could do magic but now we have two, Sofi and Liem. With these two and the increase in refugee workers it is not so unrealistic for things to be ready so quickly.

Ha!, and as expected as soon as I logged in, a mission appeared to send supplies to Black Oak Village, another change probably triggered by my oracle was that now I could assign some guards, and just to test it I decided to send 5 of the spiritual warriors are just like a test, they had been doing nothing since the commotion they had a few days ago (literally in this case).

But the biggest changes that happened were the amount of prayers and offerings (many) and "my temple" being completed. And of course several "side missions" also appeared alongside the prayers but first.

[You have 374 unallocated prayers.

Do you want to transform them into:

• Divine Power

• Karma (experience)]

[Your believers humbly presented offerings to you.

Do you want to claim them?

• Yes

• no]

[Through his Oracle, several believers demonstrated that they had serious problems in their lives.

Will you fulfill their requests?

• Yes

• no]

First of all, let's allocate prayers to experience, divine power so far not so important. Obviously it will probably be from now on, but I still think it's more important to strengthen your skills as you level up.

Second, of course I would accept the offerings whatever they were.

[You got:

• fruit tree branch x10

• evil forged daggers x7

• broken spears x15

• tattered clothes x50

• miscellaneous fruits x20]

....

....

SO JOKING, THEY THINK THAT OFERENDAS IS SYNONYMOUS WITH GARBAGE RECYCLING SERVICE!!!!!!

I swear, I've never wanted to send lightning at them as much as I do now. I needed a few seconds to calm down and see things on the positive side, I can still convert these useless things into sacrificial coins, right?

[Invalid conversion, the conversion target for sacrifices needs to be a living being.]

Let me know if this happens beforehand.

Uuuuuuuffffffffff, ok there's no point in complaining now. But just out of anger I decided not to listen to what these serious problems in the lives of believers would be..... It's what I would really like to do, but as they are secondary missions I will still get rewards that can help with the main missions, even if outside defeat the goblins no more appeared.

I'll do it later, now it's time for one of my favorite things in all games, level-up time.

It's not too bad, apart from the statuses, but I don't get many points for leveling up, and I even forgot about these new abilities to bless, curse and storm, all of which are pretty self-explanatory.

I was also surprised when I saw that blessing wasn't just a one-skill event... Well, actually there are two types of blessing, the skill one can bless a believer giving a good boost to all statuses or equipment, and there's the blessing of an event that was what had happened before with the earth, etc. Another difference between them is that the skill blessing is temporary and the event blessing is permanent.

Cursing is the opposite of blessing, but I don't know the extent of it since I haven't had much time to "play" with it since I got it, and Storm is an ability derived from lightning. I can now play with it a little and I can say that when it is used with lightning... Well, the imp/goblin from before would have fallen with much less effort.
