The sun hung low in the afternoon sky, casting a warm glow over the bustling city. It was late October, and the air was filled with the crisp scent of fallen leaves. Today, the Baku Squad—Mina, Bakugo, Sero, Kirishima, and Denki—had decided it was time for their annual Halloween costume shopping spree.
"Alright, listen up, everyone!" Bakugo declared as they approached the entrance of the Halloween store, his explosive energy radiating ahead of him. "We need to pick something that'll really stand out. No half-baked ass ideas this time!"
"Aww, come on, Bakugo! Where's the fun in that?" Mina teased, her eyes glimmering with excitement. She was always one for a dramatic flair, especially around this spooky season.
"Yeah, how about we do something scary?" Kirishima suggested, his spiky red hair bouncing as he nodded enthusiastically. "Like monsters or heroes from horror movies!"
Denki's eyes widened with glee. "I think we should be something that gets people to laugh too! Last year's zombie outfits were a hit!"
"Only because I blew up half the decorations!" Bakugo scoffed, arms crossed stubbornly.
Sero chuckled, pulling out his phone. "Alright, let's document this shopping trip. It'll be great for social media. We could go viral with our outfits!"
They all nodded in agreement, excitement bubbling amongst them as they stepped into the store. The moment they crossed the threshold, they were met with a colorful array of decorations, costumes, and all things Halloween. Witches, ghosts, vampires—everything was audibly screaming for attention.
"Whoa, check it out!" Denki exclaimed, sprinting towards a section adorned with flashy LED lights. "This place is amazing!"
Mina whipped around, her eyes landing on a rack filled with elaborate fairy and witch costumes. "I'm totally going as a glittery witch! Just imagine the sparkles!"
"Typical Mina," Bakugo rolled his eyes, "going for the sweet option."
Before long, the squad split up, each member exploring their own style within the store. Kirishima gravitated towards a section with monster costumes, quickly trying on a fuzzy green monster suit with exaggerated claws. "Guys!" he called out, flexing his muscles. "What do you think?"
"Pretty cute, Eijiro!" Mina teased with a giggle.
Sero found a cape emblazoned with a giant "S" and couldn't resist trying it on too. "Now I'm Super Sero! Saving Halloween one snack at a time!" he joked, striking a superhero pose.
Meanwhile, Bakugo was on a mission. He stormed through the male costume aisle, casting a critical eye on each outfit. "If I don't find something that'll blow everyone away, I'm just going to make my own!" he muttered, eyeing a particularly outrageous dragon costume. With a snort, he pushed it aside, still determined for something that fit his explosive persona.
"Denki, what about that?" Kirishima pointed to a cheesy yet amusing hotdog costume.
"I love it!" Denki replied, theatrically gesturing the role of a wiener. "It's perfect for my spark!"
"More like your goofiness!" Bakugo shot back, shaking his head in exasperation.
Eventually, the group reconvened, each person overflowing with ideas and costumes in hand. Mina held her sparkly witch dress triumphantly, while Kirishima twirled in his monster suit, Beaming with pride.
"I'm going to be a ghost!" said Denki proudly, wearing his hotdog costume with a white sheet draped over him. "A ghost of all my bad puns!"
"Are you all done being idiots, or what?" Bakugo grumbled, finally settling for a stylish and fierce red hooded ninja costume. "Let's go before I lose my patience."
"Did you find something good, Bakugo?" Sero asked with a grin.
"Just the best!" Bakugo smirked, his usual intense demeanor softened ever so slightly by their shared camaraderie.
With costumes in hand, the Baku Squad headed to the cash register, their voices mingling amidst laughter and banter. As they left the store, bags swing in their hands, the spirit of Halloween buzzed around them.
"Ready for the best Halloween ever?" Mina shouted, her voice soaring above the city sounds.
"Yeah!" they all responded in unison, energized and eager for the spooky festivities to come.
That night, as the stars began to twinkle and shadows danced against the moonlit sky, they would put those glorious costumes to use. Because in the realm of heroes, who said the fun had to stop when the sun went down? Halloween was just getting started!
