Chapter 12 - Halloween Movie day 12

As the crisp autumn breeze swept through U.A. High School, Class 1-A was buzzing with excitement. It was the twelfth day of their Halloween movie marathon, where they huddled together in the common room, draped in cozy blankets, with buckets of popcorn, and the flickering glow of the TV screen setting the scene.

"I can't believe we made it to the Addams Family! This is classic!" Ochaco exclaimed, snuggling in closer.

Kaminari chuckled, his eyes dancing with the light from the screen. "Who wouldn't love a family that's all about Halloween vibes?"

As the iconic theme music played, Midoriya, his wide eyes sparkling with nostalgia, couldn't help but feel a warm sense of camaraderie. Despite their intense training and the burdens they carried as young heroes, moments like these gave them a sense of normalcy, joy, and a sprinkle of the macabre that Halloween was all about.

Just as the scene unfolded with Gomez and Morticia's quirky romance, a familiar figure walked by—the towering form of All Might. He slowed down, a smile spreading across his face as he observed the scene before him. The laughter, the joy in their eyes—it warmed his heart. These children had faced tremendous challenges far beyond their years, but here they were, being kids, celebrating something as simple as Halloween.

A wave of gratitude washed over him. They weren't too scarred by the trauma they faced; they were finding strength in their bonds. In that moment, a bright idea sparked in his mind. He hurried to gather the pro heroes.

The next day, All Might gathered Mirko, Midnight, Endeavor, Night Eye, Nezu, Aizawa, and a few other high-ranking heroes in the faculty lounge, brimming with the same enthusiasm he had witnessed the day before.

"Alright everyone, I've got an idea!" he began, his voice booming. "How about we have our own movie marathon? Just like the kids! It'll be great bonding time for us pro heroes!"

Midnight tilted her head, a playful smile spreading across her lips. "You mean we get to watch movies and eat popcorn? I'm in!"

Endeavor raised an eyebrow, skeptical. "You think watching movies will enhance our teamwork?"

"It's not just about that," All Might replied earnestly. "It's about making memories and fostering camaraderie. We fight side by side, but do we truly know each other outside of hero work? Imagine bonding over a classic spooky film on Halloween!"

Night Eye crossed his arms, pondering. "It's unconventional, but perhaps it could foster a different dynamic within our team."

Mirko shrugged, a grin forming. "I'll bring the snacks! If we're going to do this, we're going all out!"

And so, the plan was set. The next evening, the faculty lounge transformed into a vibrant space filled with laughter, ghosts decorating the walls, and delicious snacks piled high on tables.

As the night began, they kicked off the first movie—another classic, in the spirit of older films: "Hocus Pocus." The heroes, typically seen in their serious guises, loosened up and slipped into their younger selves, chuckling at the mischief of the Sanderson sisters.

All Might watched, his heart swelling with pride. They had come together not as mentors and students or as colleagues, but as friends, just enjoying life and the simple pleasure of horror-themed entertainment.

As the night rolled on and they switched from spooky comedies to classic monster movies, discussions broke out about fight strategies, personal quirks, and even some slip-ups from their hero work—shared stories illuminating the night.

Aizawa, usually reserved, surprised everyone when he cracked a rare smile during one of the movie's cheesy scenes. "It seems even pro heroes can enjoy a bit of foolishness," he remarked, half-amused, eliciting laughter from the others.

As the marathon continued into the late hours, bonds were forged, laughter echoed through the room, and for a brief moment, the tension and weight of their responsibilities melted away. All Might couldn't help but feel that these heroes, like the children of Class 1-A, were finding strength in each other, a resilience that came not just from battling villains but from sharing joy and companionship.

As the night came to a close, All Might felt a sense of satisfaction, knowing this would be a night they would all remember—a reminder that the spirit of heroism was not only about fighting but also about friendship and togetherness. It was a memory to carry into the struggles ahead, a buoy in the storm of hero life.

As they bade each other goodnight, Mirko's laughter still ringing in his ears, All Might smiled, feeling grateful for the bonds formed in the flicker of the screen—just like the students in Class 1-A, he had found a new family among the ranks of heroes.
