Chapter 1 - "Meaningless!" Says The Preacher.

"In the name of the Father, of the Son and the Holy Spirit. Lord, my soul will I trust unto thee."

The encompassing of those words shaken the whole world where the man have been standing on.

Florian, the guy who spurted out those glorious words, nobody knows if he said it out of worship of the Holy Name or the final retreat of the lost lamb under the brink of being beheaded.

With shrill and frailous voice once again he called to the Holy One, "Lord, why thou shalt thrust this unto me?", in a mean of questioning why such a thing happened to him.

His sense of words turned into something as the codes from the Psalms of David, the plead and glorying to God.

In the book of Job, there told the story of a righteous man and a follower of God, he is Job.

In all days of his prosperity, he enjoyed it as the mercy of the Holy One, serving and living not in the way of unrighteousness but in the path of righteousness. But who could so thought that God would let this just man suffer the consequences that he have never been committed in his life.

Any person would tell that probably God isn't exactly the way we thought he is, that probably atheist were actually right about the absence of God.

But there's much more in the dialogues of Job and his friends that proved that God is indeed the Glorious of all.

Despite the synagogues of his companions to make him admit that he, Job was not actually righteous at all in the eye of God.

Job himself didn't believe so rather he takes that God is actually testing him whether he is actually the righteous man he portrayed.

It is to test his faith in God, if everything would be stripped away from a man that even being naked is not even shameful than to lose the entire identity of the individual, would he still not bear any spite or hatred towards God and still live the just life he was been?

But to the man who bore the name Florian Judahaiah, he is not the righteous one that you would thought he is. But you could say that he met the same fate Job faced.

As to account on his situation, he is not in a place that everyone would like to be in, to bore witness a nightmarish massacre right in front of his eyes.

One by one, whether God forbid, in his eyes splattered the blood of his own brother, the incinerated limbs of his father, visceral organs and innards of his own mother over a plate.

And the worst of all, his little sister whom their family cared for the most taken out by the hands of the creature that can be resemble as the devil itself even if it's an individual.

"Why thou letted this happen to me?", young Florian said while still in the scene of despair enclosed in their very own shelter.

But before we taken account to what will happen next, let's take further aback to the root of the of all this things.

Being a student of a prestigious school, Mcton Prep School, Florian Judahaiah is a bright man with full of vigor. He doesn't exactly excel in the fields of science or mathematics or whether in the term of aesthetics.

But you cannot put him in the ranks of those who cannot, so it's safe to say that he is a jack-of-all-trades.

But in all those generalized skill sets, he have actually found his life's task, the listener and absorber of everything he taken account with.

His friends referred to him as the delightful man, the observer, the nobody's actual one due to his endearing behavior.

He's also not a good believer since he's not interested in the talk of faith and dignifying God but at least he's not an atheist who completely deny the existence of God.

He's more like a person who could ask rhetorics about suffering and good and evil and questioning God why such thing exists. In the common world, atheist were not uncommon, in fact people who denied God have been so much around the world that it cost the crises of faith.

Florian on the other hand can go on and on and rant about like an agnostic philosopher and his friends wouldn't say a word of complain or rebuttals.

But before you hate him and think that he deserved the things that will follow up to him, there is also something that could be noteworthy about him.

In a world that everything is fast paced that everyone would desire for things to be carried as quick as they want it to get, he's one to be stated to possess a heavenly virtue despite being not a follower or believer.

Probably this would led him to the point of his redemption like Apostle Paul have experienced.

"Damn, man, that was very tiresome day," he said to his friend. It's almost 5 PM when Florian and his classmates were walking their path way home.

"You know it is, man. Especially after the periods of scientific topics that bald teacher speaks about," a companion of Florian said, his name is William.

"I could still not wrap my head around those things at all," the other friend said, his name is Sean.

"Especially the topics about... what is it again? Vectar and Scales? I don't know man," the guy added.

"That's vector and scalar, you know," Florian replied to knock off the topic and not further the discussion.

"Ah, jeez, could you please taken it aback for a minute?"

"What do you mean by that?," he said to his friend William. "Like you know what." "Come on, dude, just say it already," he said back.

"We all know that you're getting yourself restrained from doing things, you know." "I'm not really mindful of what are you talking about, bruh."

"Then how about this," Sean said, "How about we hit to the arcade first before going home though. I heard there's a limited event running down for today, how about we try it ourselves?"

"I'm not sure man," Florian kind of fending off the request. "I'm loaded for now so I cannot guarantee any appearance in there."

"Just get to it, Florian," William said in advance, "It's only for today, man. How about you try to chill out from time to time or you'll end up finding your life in blacks and whites."

"Like the hell you're talking about, man," Florian replied not sure if he have a choice or not.

The three of them are walking in a slouchy manner since it's been actually a dehydrating day for them, especially after exam.

All of them are carrying their bags like it weighed for over 20 kilos so you could blame them for having a slouchy posture.

Not good for them if they were not as prestigious looking enough even though they're in a school that promote such behavior.

"Huh? Really? I haven't know any of that."

"Yeah, yeah, unbelievable, right?", said by some girls passing next to the dudes.

They were wearing a clean and neat uniform that especially elevate theirselves from the other passerbys.

William and Sean were stunned by their charming appearance that forced them to change the topic exactly.

"Damn, man, aren't those girls gorgeous?", said by Sean after being incaptivated by the ladies' charm.

"I'm getting hype up, man. I wonder what school they were going to," Sean added like an old man.

"That's disgusting, Sean. Where are your manners?", spurted by William whose in their side.

"I haven't said anything though, William. Besides, as if you like wouldn't also want to know," strike back by Sean while crossing up his arms behind his head.

"What about you, Florian?", asked by one of them. Although present, Florian is daydreaming like his walking unconsciously.

"Hey, Florian, what's with you? Perhaps are you really a man of culture, aren't you, *smirk", teased by Sean who thought of him to be interested also with the girls.

"Hey! Hey! Hello? Is Florian there?", said again by Sean to snap him back to reality.

Florian suddenly stopped walking and he stroked his chin up, "What the hell was that?", he said out of nowhere and exactly out of context.

He's looking pale and blue and was like he's woken up from a dream, a daydream.

"Hmm? What is it, man? Aren't you pale?", asked by William who noticed his disfigured expression.

"Uh... Nothing, not to be worried about actually," he said to fend off the worryness of his companions.

"Now let's talk, Florian. What do you think about those girls?", said by Sean bringing back the topic while their having their stop on the nearby bus stop.

"Girls? The heck are you talking about?", Florian said in a confused demeanor. "I mean those fellas who passed through us a moment ago," said by Sean.

"All and that? You're actually a lecher aren't you?", William said out of nowhere to cover up with Florian's silence.

In all of those conversations, something is roaming around Florian's thoughts. "So what actually is that thing?," he said to himself.

"A moment ago I thought I'm gonna die but I don't know what exact type of death that was. Is it just a daydream, or am I hallucinating? Perhaps could it be a premonition or something like revelation?", all of this floated around his head again.

"Nah, premonitions cannot be a thing though neither revelations thus. So am I actually turning sicko? That would be a frightening thing I mean. I'm still not ready to lose my head to something as stupid as this."

He taked a deep breath and suddenly stand up from the bench and said to himself again, "How about let's see what will actually happen and wait patiently."

"Uhh... man, what's wrong with you?", said by Sean who got startled from his sudden flustering.

"Hmm? What's the problem, Sean?", he said to ease up the situation.

"I mean, you know, you're being blockhead recently, Florian. That's why I recommend for us to go hit up to the arcade or approach some girls we've just met to stressed out ourself you know," Sean said out of order.

"Haah... Probably you're right, man. Nothing would happen if I calm myself down for a little," he replied.
