Chapter 114 - Chapter 114: Panda Can Talk!?

"Jujutsu High actually consists of two schools, one is the Tokyo Metropolitan Jujutsu High, and the other is the Kyoto Prefectural Jujutsu High."

As Gojo Satoru led the group through the vast campus, he explained.

Tokyo's school was built in a forested hilly area, with many traditional wooden buildings.

"The relationship between the two schools? Well, I'd say it's quite delicate."

 "Huh? Aren't they sister schools?"

Hikigaya Hachiman asked, puzzled.

"Well, yes, but the principal over at Kyoto High is... not the sharpest tool in the shed," Gojo Satoru said, tapping his head.

Just thinking about the old man who was still rocking out at his age made Gojo's face twist in disgust.

"I really hope that old guy gets buried soon."

Gojo Satoru didn't hold back at all.

Is this really something you should say in front of others?

The three juniors thought to themselves at the same time.

Hayashizaki laughed. "Looks like there are some big problems inside the jujutsu world, huh? How funny."

"Yeah, if I could, I'd kill off all those stubborn and outdated higher-ups," the white-haired man shrugged.

"Nice. After they're gone, just get your people in charge," Hayashizaki said, with admiration.

As they listened to the conversation between Gojo Satoru and Hayashizaki, Yukinoshita Yukino and the others couldn't hide their changing expressions. These two were casually talking about overthrowing the jujutsu world's power structure.

What was even more alarming was that these two really had the power to do it.

"Big brother, is this how all jujutsu sorcerers are?"

Komachi asked in a small voice again.

"…Probably only these two are like this," Hikigaya Hachiman wasn't sure how to explain.

"Unfortunately, there are no talents like that right now."

Gojo Satoru sighed helplessly. "So, I plan to personally train a new generation."

As soon as he mentioned the students, a bright smile appeared on his face, and his words were filled with excitement.

"They are the future of the jujutsu world."

"So, where did all the students go?"

Hayashizaki asked.

"They're probably training on the field right now. They've been working really hard lately to get ready for the Kyoto Sister School Exchange Event," Gojo Satoru said with a slight smile.

"The Kyoto Sister School Exchange Event?"

Yukinoshita Yukino perked up at the mention of something interesting.

"It's basically an event where students from two schools compete with each other. The goal is to exchange techniques and improve together. You could think of it as a school sports festival," Gojo Satoru explained with a grin.

"The events in this 'sports festival' must be way different from regular schools, right?"

Hikigaya Hachiman muttered skeptically.

"A sports festival for sorcerers—other than fighting, what else would there even be?"

The white-haired man smiled, though because of the blindfold covering his eyes, Hikigaya Hachiman could only see the curve of his mouth.

Suddenly, as if an idea had struck him, Gojo raised a finger and eagerly suggested, "Oh, right! Since Hayashizaki is a teacher at Tokyo Jujutsu High, that technically makes you two students of the school. How about it? Want to join the event?"

"Sorry, but I don't think I have what it takes to join something like that,"

Hikigaya Hachiman immediately raised his hand to decline.

"No worries, you're just a tag-along anyway,"

Gojo waved his hand dismissively, signaling him not to take it seriously.

…I'm starting to understand why Hayashizaki always seems annoyed with this guy.

Hikigaya Hachiman's eye twitched as he complained inwardly.

"What about you, Yukinoshita?"

Gojo turned his attention to the black-haired girl.

Yukinoshita Yukino didn't respond right away. Instead, she glanced at Hayashizaki, who was beside her.

He didn't look too happy as he glared at Gojo. "You're trying to rope in my people again? Don't get too full of yourself, you smug white-haired idiot."

"Come on, no need to be so harsh. We're all colleagues now, so let's get along, okay?"

Gojo smiled, trying to calm him down.

"No, you're not being sincere."

Hayashizaki rejected him without hesitation.

"Then I must politely decline, Gojo-san"

Yukinoshita Yukino added.

Gojo shrugged, spreading his hands helplessly. "What a shame. I was hoping to use you to scare those old geezers."

"Besides Yuji, there's another possible vessel for Sukuna who has even mastered Sukuna's cleaving technique. If those old fogeys found out about you, they'd probably freak out."

His tone was filled with disappointment.

As they chatted along the way, the atmosphere between Hayashizaki and Gojo alternated between cheerful banter and tension. Yukinoshita Yukino, familiar with Hayashizaki's personality and knowing he was just being sharp-tongued, remained calm. However, the Hikigaya siblings were on edge, worried that the two might suddenly start fighting.

Thankfully, things stayed peaceful, and they eventually arrived at the field without incident.

From a distance, they saw a girl with a high ponytail sparring with Fushiguro Megumi, while a few others sat on the steps, watching intently.

"Hey everyone~ Look over here!"

Gojo cupped his hands around his mouth and shouted, "I brought some friends!"

The first to turn around was Itadori Yuji.

When he spotted Hayashizaki and Yukinoshita Yukino, he immediately stood up and waved cheerfully.

"Oh! It's Hayashizaki-sensei and Yukinoshita-senpai!"

"Who's that?"

Nobara Kugisaki turned around, puzzled.

"That name, Yukinoshita... why does it sound familiar?"

"Oh, it's the backup from our mission at the juvenile detention center!"

Itadori Yuji reminded her.

"Oh! Now I remember—he's that guy who's also a vessel like you. Fushiguro even mentioned he's good-looking."

Nobara suddenly understood.

During that mission, she had to withdraw early due to injuries, so she didn't get to meet Yukinoshita Yukino or Hayashizaki, who later gained a body.

While the two chatted, Hayashizaki and his group approached them. Not far away on the field, Fushiguro Megumi and a high-ponytail girl stopped their training and walked over.

"Hey, hey! Let me introduce you to our first-year and second-year students!"

Gojo Satoru suddenly appeared behind Itadori Yuji and Hayato, enthusiastically introducing Hayashizaki's group.

"Itadori Yuji! Sukuna's vessel! Hayashizaki and Yukinoshita should already be familiar with him."

"Osu! I'm Itadori Yuji! Nice to meet you!"

The pink-haired boy flashed a bright, cheerful smile.

Gojo Satoru then grabbed Fushiguro Megumi, who was glaring sideways at his irresponsible teacher, clearly annoyed at being dragged over by the collar of his shirt.

"Fushiguro Megumi! Grade 2 sorcerer. Even among second-years, he's quite strong!"

"Hello."

Fushiguro gave a reluctant nod.

"Kugisaki Nobara! The only girl among the first-years, with both a strong personality and impressive skills!"

"Yo, nice to meet you all."

Nobara greeted confidently.

"Zenin Maki! Second-year sorcerer and expert in cursed tools. Though officially a Grade 4 sorcerer, anyone who underestimates her is in for a rough time."

Gojo patted the black-haired girl with a high ponytail, who had been sparring with Fushiguro earlier.

"These people... they're not new first-years, are they?"

Zenin Maki bluntly eyed the four members of Hayashizaki's group.

"Inumaki Toge! Cursed Speech user, a semi-first-grade sorcerer. Because of his cursed speech technique, he can't speak normally, so he uses rice ball ingredients as a substitute!"

"Kelp."

The silver-haired boy nodded slightly.

"And finally, Panda!"

Gojo spread his arms wide, presenting the only non-human among them.

"As you can see, he's a panda!"

A panda can be a sorcerer?

Both Hikigaya Hachiman and Komachi had question marks floating over their heads. They were learning a lot on this trip.

Ever since meeting the students from the sorcery school, Yukinoshita Yukino had been staring intently at Panda, completely ignoring everyone else. Her slightly flickering eyes and the way she swallowed her saliva hinted at her struggling to suppress a certain urge.

"Hello there."

Panda raised a paw and greeted them clumsily.

Yukinoshita Yukino and the other two widened their eyes in shock.

A panda can talk!?
