Back in his room, Rain and Tess stare at one another in silence, sitting on his bed. He studies Tess, her expression conflicted and her eyes concerned, and he feels the awkward impulse to comfort her...somehow. Before he can, though, she looks at him seriously, her voice hesitant as she speaks.
"Rain...I had no idea. I thought you were maybe hiding a God Bloodline, and at worst a Death Lineage or something. But everything you've shared with me...the God Relic, the primordials, your abilities...it's insane. Life-changing...and dangerous. I just...really want you to know how much I appreciate you sharing this with me, and I promise I won't ever mention it to anyone."
She stares at him, her expression concerned but intense, as if she's desperate to convey her sincerity to him. He smiles back reassuringly, his voice lighthearted.
"I know Tess, I trust you...I wouldn't have shared all of this with you if I didn't. But you're right that it's dangerous knowledge. Do you...regret me telling you?"
Her face becomes bewildered, her voice mildly annoyed, and her eyes pierce into him.
"No. I'm glad that I know now...it makes helping you easier. But..."
Her eyes slide away from his apprehensively for a brief moment.
"Do you...regret telling me all of that? I just...in retrospect, I feel like I pressured you to tell me. Now that I know what all you've been dealing with...I just...I'm sorry."
Her eyes seem to probe him nervously, and he feels a pang of concern.
'Does she think she bullied me into this? Is she worried that I only confided in her to appease her, and now I'm uncomfortable with it?'
Feeling unhappy with that possibility, he smiles back at her and shakes his head emphatically. Then, he leans over and squeezes her hand, his eyes locking with hers as his gaze turns intense, and his voice becomes serious.
"There's nothing to apologize for Tess...I did exactly what I wanted to do. I'm glad that you know the truth...I promise you. In fact, I want you to know that, not only do I not regret it, I..."
His gaze becomes thoughtful as he struggles to remember her words from earlier today.
"I want you to know how much I appreciate you being by my side...that I need you. Oh, and that nothing about today changes the way that I feel about us. Not my desire to help Ronin, not your role in it, and not anything that you've learned about me in my Soul Temple. If anything, I feel even closer to you."
Tess's eyes widen in surprise, then realization seems to dawn on her face, as though she's putting together that he's repeating the things she asked to hear earlier. After a few moments, her lips twist into a wide smile, her emerald eyes seeming to glisten as she studies him affectionately. When she responds, her tone is full of emotion.
"Rain...I..."
She trails off, her eyes flitting back and forth as she stares at him, as though she can't find the words to express her feelings. Then, her eyes lock with his, an intense, resolved gleam evolving in them. Without saying another word, she reaches her free hand behind his neck and pulls him in for a kiss, causing him to squeal in surprise.
It doesn't feel like all the times she's kissed him before. It's deeper...more desperate...as though it's the last time they'll ever have the chance. Soon, his thoughts become blurred by its intensity, and he gives into Unhinged, kissing her back passionately.
He hears a satisfied sigh try to escape from her, but it's sealed between their lips. As if responding to his loss of control, she leans forward as she wraps her arms around him, pulling him so tight that their bodies are forced together as they fall back onto the bed. For a moment, they continue to drink in each others lips, Tess strewn awkwardly on top of him.
However, she soon moves to straddle his waist, not daring to break their kiss, and her hands begin to move over his body greedily as she pulls them even tighter together. Her kisses begin to grow more forceful, her soft sighs echoing with increasing frequency and intensity, and he feels her start to squirm on top of him, her hips pressing into him rhythmically.
Enthralled by the sensations of her being so close, his hands instinctively run up her back, exploring the hot skin under her shirt, and his lips begin to match her forcefulness. The change elicits an especially pleasurable sigh from her, and the sound fills him with an intense longing to be even closer to her.
Without thinking, his hands run down her spine, past her lower back, until his fingers rest just under the waist of her shorts, and he pulls her tightly against his hips as he presses his lips against hers more forcefully. To his surprise, a deep, unreserved moan escapes her lips, almost involuntarily, as she finally breaks their kiss.
With their airways finally free, they both begin gasping desperately, their faces flushed. Tess looks down at him with an absolutely ravenous gaze, her eyes full of desire. Rain stares back at her, equally greedy, but as his thoughts begin to clear, he starts to wonder if he went too far.
Before he can voice his concern, though, Tess pulls off her shirt, tossing it aside, then immediately leans over to press their lips together again, her warm, exposed body pulled against his desperately as she rocks her hips against him. As his thoughts become a mess again, her hands find their way under his shirt, struggling to pull it up to his chest.
After a moment, she lets out a frustrated groan, pressing her hands firmly against his chest, and she breaks their kiss once again, leaving them both breathless. She looks down at him, her eyes impatient.
"Rain...take off...your shirt..."
He slowly processes her words, his mind clearing as well, and his eyes widen.
"Tess, I...are you sure? I'm not...confident...that I can keep my Quirk in check if we go any further. I am...very into this...and I don't want to push things to where you're...uncomfortable."
Tess rolls her eyes at him, her expression becoming even more frustrated.
"Rain...you're sweet, but...listen to me very carefully. I have been patient...so, so patient...and I've managed to restrain myself until today. But that little stunt of yours with my hips has made my own Quirk unbearable, and now I'm tired of waiting. I don't want you to hold back your Quirk. I want this to go as far as possible, and your shirt is making that difficult. Understand?"
As realization dawns on him, he feels a rush of desire so strong that it triggers Unhinged all over again, and his eyes narrow in anticipation as he studies the lines of Tess's body.
"Yeah...I understand..."
He sees Tess smile mischievously, but before she can respond, he pulls his own shirt off and tosses it aside in a smooth motion. Then, he grabs her by the waist and rolls over on top of her, pressing his lips against hers as his hips push between her legs forcefully, eliciting a surprised moan from Tess. Without wasting another second, she wraps herself around him, pulling him in more tightly to return his kiss, and they pick up where they left off.
Over the next half hour, their kisses become more frantic as one article of clothing after another is tossed from the bed...until there's none left.

Rain stirs as bright sunlight pierces his eyelids, forcing him awake. He glances down at a familiar pressure on his chest, and notices Tess resting on him peacefully. However, there's the very unfamiliar addition that...both of them are completely naked. What's more, it seems that after their antics last night, the sheets ended up tossed mostly to the side. As of now, they're barely covering Tess's and Rain's midsections.
His eyes scan her exposed body, noting the soft lines of her breasts pressed against him, and the generous curve of her lower back as it moves towards the areas of her body covered by the sheets. He also spots one of her thighs sticking out the side of the sheets haphazardly, causing memories of last night to flood his thoughts.
It was his first time and, from what she has told him, Tess's too. Personally, he was operating more or less on instinct. That, and the minimal sex education that the orphanage gave to kids once they turned 15. Most of the lessons were focused on making sure that the orphans didn't make more orphans, which he prudently adhered to, but there were also basic anatomy lessons that he found helpful last night.
Tess, on the other hand, seemed pretty...knowledgeable. Both about him, and about what she herself would enjoy, and she wasn't shy about telling him. Before they even got to the main event, they spent a plentiful amount of time exploring one another's bodies.
Rain cringes at the memory of how much he...struggled...for a while.
At first, there were several points where Tess would moan in frustration and give him direction. She was clearly trying hard to be nice, but...he could tell she was exasperated. He did his best to learn, and...eventually, she stopped talking. At first, he thought she'd given up on him, especially when she suddenly covered her face with a pillow and moaned in frustration. Shortly after, however, he'd heard a muffled scream as her body tensed, and she was all smiles after that.
When they finally...made good on their intentions...the experience was beyond what he'd hoped for. So much so that, embarrassingly, he'd given out before she would have liked. Fortunately, his body was absolutely brimming with energy last night, and it wasn't long before he was ready again. In the interim, he'd been quick to return to learning more about her body in other ways.
By the end of the night, when they were both ready to collapse from exhaustion, he felt like they'd both gotten more accustomed to what the other enjoyed. Everything was...much more gratifying then.
He feels Tess begin to wake on top of him, interrupting his reminiscing. She blinks sleepily as she slowly focuses her gaze on him. As recognition dawns on her face, she grins dopily and pulls herself on top of him for a hug, briefly exposing herself. She places her chin on his chest and grins, her eyes studying him affectionately.
"Good morning..."
Rain smiles back at her, a surge of heat radiating through his chest as he studies her beautiful features, soaking in her radiant smile.
"Good morning to you..."
Tess smiles in satisfaction, her finger tracing circles on his chest. Then, she seems to realize something and she cuts her eyes at him.
"Last night was...uhm...just checking, but...you don't regret anything, right? You, uh...had a good time?"
His expression becomes bewildered.
"Are you kidding? That was...incredible. I was just wondering, how do you feel about it? I know I, uhm...didn't exactly have a great start. I...didn't have any experience to draw on..."
Her expression becomes relieved, then she smiles at him reassuringly.
"I'm glad you enjoyed it. And don't worry, I had a very good time, I promise. It's true that things seemed a little...new...to you at first, but I have to say, you were a quick learner, and very attentive. Honestly, by the end, it was way better than I expected my first time to be. Plus, you know..."
She bites her lip, her eyes seeming to gleam mischievously.
"...we'll have plenty of opportunities to practice now that we're both out of the tournament."
His eyes widen in surprise for a moment, before his lips twist into a wide grin.
"Getting disqualified might be better than I thought..."
She chuckles in amusement and nods, a wide smile forming on her face. Then, something seems to occur to her, and she glances at him curiously.
"Hey, Rain...last night, I never got to ask again. That small table in your Soul Temple, what is it exactly?"
He blinks repeatedly.
'Why is she thinking of that right now?'
"Uhm...well...I'm not sure exactly. That's one of the things I've been relying on Bright for. Whenever she visits on my off days, I've been bringing her into my Soul Temple so she can study it more. There are runes on it that she's been translating. So far, all she's learned is that it's called the Chaos Altar, and that it functions as a lock with seven keys. Kind of ominous..."
Tess stares back at him blankly for several moments, as though she's thinking through something for the first time, then her eyes narrow at him. Her tone becomes unexpectedly annoyed.
"Rain...have you been bringing Bright into your Soul Temple every time you see her? Doing that whole, intimate chest-touching ritual we had to do?"
Rain feels his entire body go tense.
'Fuck...it really sounds bad when she says it like that!'
He remains silent initially, his thoughts racing as he tries to decide how best to assure her that it's not as bad as she's making it sound. Meanwhile, Tess stares at him with an increasingly disapproving gaze. However, before either of them can say anything...
There's a knock at Rain's bedroom door.
